We are going on the dream on Thursday and as I was petting my dog. I got to wondering where the service pets do their business on the ship.

they are given a "special box" and it is placed in a specific place on the deck OR it can be placed on the balcony.

Oh that's good to know. I was just curious as I will miss my pet almost as much as my kids.

This was on our WBTA cruise in 2010:

It was on deck 4 just under the covered area portside aft.

Yep - we had one close to this but it was a grassy patch on the Fantasy last month. It was in the same location as well :)

The service dog was a golden retriever and he was so sweet and well behaved.

They even learn the service dog to make hidden mickey's... ;-)

When the service dog stays in a room with veranda then they put a simulair thing on the veranda too.

I wondered this as well because I have/trained service dog rejects and I wondered "where do they go?" I mean I trained both mine to go anywhere on command, I'd just feel bad having to have someone else take out that trash...

I have a service dog and we went on the Magic. They had a plastic children's pool with sod in it on deck 4. My dog is small. There was a larger dog on board and they did not clean up after said dog. Ours was put off about going in there obviously. We ended up cleaning it all the time which was annoying. He was happy to get off the ship and find his own spot!
