So I'm going to "borrow" Sirenia88's idea and start a meet & greet thread for September. One of the best things about camping is getting to meet new people. So if you're going to be at the Fort in September, check in and I'll get you added to the current reservations list below. Look forward to seein' y'all!

You will absolutely love it! We've stayed there twice now, once in a cabin and once in a rented cabin and just loved the entire experience at the Fort. We're actually taking our own camper down for this trip and can't wait.

I am taking Amtrak, from NE Indiana down and Flying back, so I have to pack light!!

8/22- Partial sites are now available for my entire stay, so I now have a request for loop 1500!!

We requested 1600 too but are leaving 2 days before you get there. Last time I'm pretty sure it was 1600 that we got and the bus stop was pretty much in our backyard.

We did 1600 last time when we rented a travel trailer. We liked it. There are 2 comfort stations in that area and as SimbaLover mentioned, the bus stop is close (even closer depending on which site you are on.)

My husband and I have been several times with our two kids - 7 year old boy and 12 year old girl. This time we have friends along - Sev and her daughter who is a first timer, and Cecily and Nick. It's going to be a blast. Stop by and have a beer if you see us, I'll try to get a Disboard Camp marker up!

We were just there for the first time July 8th. Stayed at loop 1400. We had a great time. This time we are requesting loop 1400. My sister and her friend will be in a cabin. I'm now hooked by FW.

I am taking Amtrak

I took Amtrak from NOLO to Chicago for the first time this year. I enjoyed it. Great way to see the country!
