Second star to the right and straight on til morning *TR Started*

How exciting!! That will be so much fun! Just think of how much fun you guys will have!

I'm taking a solo trip in summer 2017...sooooo far away. But I need the time to save and for all the kids to be potty trained and sleeping through the night! Even though it's over 2 years away and we have a family trip before, I spend most of my Disney time daydreaming about my solo trip!

party::jumping1::cheer2: How Exciting!
Thanks! I knew this would be the place I could share my joy.

I hope everything falls in place for your anniversary trip. I know it is hard to get too excited about it not knowing if it will happen yet, but I really hope it all works out for you!!!
Thanks, thankfully I am still in planning mode for this trip or I would be in trouble.

Exciting, the though of an adult trip is fun :dogdance:
I can spend a day day dreaming about a childless trip, haven't done that since 2010. Last childless Disney trip was 2009.
I would love a few days getaway with DH, if only my mother would say yes to watching my children. For some reason she is very intimidated by the thought of taking my kids for a few days. We tried last summer and plans fell through :(
We are very lucky to have mothers that understand the need for some adult time. Unfortunately, our planning lasts for a few days an fizzles out because I don't want to leave the boys. I think it is time though and we all did fine when I was gone for a few days in October.

How exciting!! That will be so much fun! Just think of how much fun you guys will have!

Lol, I totally understand we were planning on doing an adults only for our 10 year anniversary which is in 2018 and I have definitely daydreamed about it. Hopefully, we can move the trip up three years never know it could happen for you to ;)

This week has been pretty exciting with getting our BOG ADR and the possibility of another trip. We have exactly one month until our big trip reveal. Connor's fifth birthday is April 1 and we plan to take him down to Grand Rapids for Chuck-E-Cheese and to get him a bike. We are going to tell him that is his one present this year. Then when we get home, I have a video I made that will announce our trip and his secret birthday present. I also am getting together a box that will have stuff for the trip I have collected over that past couple of months. My big project is to make our custom t-shirts for the trip. I started on my first set last night :faint:. It was a disaster. It is so frustrating to have a vision of what you want and then not know how to execute it. Its back to the drawing board for the shirts but hopefully, I can figure something out soon.
It was also announced this week that POC was closing on May 11. For this reason I had to switch my plans for the MK days. On May 10, we will do the rides in Aventureland, Frontierland, and Tomorrowland. I am planning on trying to really utilize FP and RS this time so I am crossing my fingers that CMs will allow us to get a RS even without a FP. New FP priorities are:

Buzz at 10 for everyone

Space at 11 for Joe & Connor RS for me to ride with Connor later

Tomorrowland Speedway for me ride with James RS for Joe and Connor

Barnstormer for Joe, ride with James RS for me and Connor

Seven Dwarves Mine Train for me and Connor later that night

I have a back up plan if they don't let us get a RS and that is to let James ride with whoever has the FP and take Connor when we go back that night. I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst for these scenarios.

May 14- Magic Kingdom
This day I plan to hit EMH at RD. The welcome show is one of my favorite things so I need to see it this day. We plan to hit everything in Fantasyland this day. Unfortunately, I had to cut out the midday break again in order to see the Festival of Fantasy Parade. I think we will be okay I have my ADR for BOG this afternoon which can be a nice break and I plan on using the baby care center for more down time. After the FOF parade, we'll let the crowds clear out and hopefully see Peter Pan. It is very frustrating that this is the only place you can meet him and the times are super limited but we'll make due. We also have an ADR at 'Ohana at 5:00 so we'll head out after the M&G. 'Ohana is the one meal I am so excited about, I can't even tell you. I have never eaten here and have heard so many great things. Rumor is that chicken is back on as well as a new salad. I can't wait to see if all the hype for this place is real. We'll call it an early night for the boys since we have a big day the next day. I am hoping that once we get the boys settled for the night, I will be able to sneak out for some solo MK time but, we'll just have to wait and see.
FP+ Priorities
Peter Pan's Flight 1
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 2
Festival of Fantasy Parade

May 15- Star Wars Weekends
This is the day I am most nervous about and have the least planned for. Almost no information has been released, which is super frustrating when you think of all the things that need to be planned like ADRs and FPs and the schedule they release could conflict with everything. For right now we plan on being up and at the entrance by 7. We will hopefully, be able to meet with Chewbacca first thing. We have an hour set aside for this and whatever else we might be able to do. Our Sci-Fi Galactic Dine is breakfast is for 9:10. I am hoping to be out by 10:30 which will give us an hour to find a spot for the motorcade if, the time is the same as last year. I have head some crazy things about people lining up at park open for the motorcade and Easy WDW posted pictures last year where all front row spots were gone by 10. This is why the Feel the Force package would be beneficial. I have no idea if I will do this. Obviously, I want to but, people think that it will be drastically (my opinion) more expensive than it was last year because every premium package that they did after this one last year was more. Crowds give me really bad anxiety so I think for my sanity it would help but I am already way past my initial budget so its just a numbers game right now.
After, the motorcade I plan to leave. While I would love to stay and meet characters, I know that the boys will not be okay with it. We'll probably pack and swim. Joe will stay with Connor and they can do whatever they wish. We will head back at some point for the fireworks. Right now I still have my Beaches and Cream reservation at 6. I will keep it, possibly do dinner at the WS, dessert at Beaches and Cream and then head back to DHS, But, if we get the package we will scrap this as there was a dessert party included last year.

May 16- Going Home
I am already sad about this day. Our plan is to sleep in a little this morning. We have a 10 ADR at Chef Mickey's. We decided last trip this would be our family tradition and we really enjoyed it last year. After Chef Mickey's, we'll head to MK for enough time to use our FPs. I don't have a plan other than what I hope to get for our FPs so hopefully, we can just soak in all the Disney magic one last time. We will leave MK by 2 to head to the airport for our flight at 5:55.
Fastpass+ Priorities
Seven Dwarves Mine Train (Joe)
Barnstormer (me and Connor)
Anna & Elsa
Buzz Lightyear

And there it is folks, our plan for our trip. I should have some pictures of my DIY projects soon and possibly the video I made if I can figure our how to share it.

Looks like we have Mother's Day breakfast same time as you and we will be at the Sci-Fi on Friday at 8:50. I am getting so excited but I keep questioning my ADR's and Fastpass plans.

Then when we get home, I have a video I made that will announce our trip and his secret birthday present.

Sounds Great! Can't wait to hear about the reveal.

My big project is to make our custom t-shirts for the trip. I

Same here, but I want to get though FP day first before booking.

. I started on my first set last night :faint:. It was a disaster. It is so frustrating to have a vision of what you want and then not know how to execute it.

That is frustrating. I think I have decided to stick to iron ons.

Seven Dwarves Mine Train for me and Connor later that night

That's our plan as well.

May 14- Magic Kingdom
This day I plan to hit EMH at RD.

I swear our families are going to think we planned to have such similar plans!:rotfl:

Festival of Fantasy Parade

Okay, now we just need to plan a dismeet. It's apparent that we are destined to run into each other!

I have head some crazy things about people lining up at park open for the motorcade and Easy WDW posted pictures last year where all front row spots were gone by 10.

And 5his is why Dh decided to pass on Starwars weekends.

I know there is a boards for crafts here on the dis(Theme parks community) , I'm sure they can help you with creating shirts for your family.
Also try a YouTube search for shirt making.

Good luck! I wouldn't think they'll give you any trouble, but I'm glad you have a back up plan.

The only thing I'd make note of though, is that you might want to consider FP+ for POTC... unless you're heading there first thing? :confused3

I know the standby line always seemed ridiculous there in December and with this being the last day before a major refurb, I could see how it might get out of control.

Almost no information has been released, which is super frustrating when you think of all the things that need to be planned like ADRs and FPs and the schedule they release could conflict with everything.
I know... I hate the fact that they want you to commit to ADR's, FP+ and other plans, before they'll commit to any kind of solid schedule.

This is why the Feel the Force package would be beneficial. I have no idea if I will do this. Obviously, I want to but, people think that it will be drastically (my opinion) more expensive than it was last year because every premium package that they did after this one last year was more. Makes sense. A package like that would be very nice from a convenience standpoint. But if you're already up against your budget, that makes it a tough call. Hopefully when they release it there wont be a huge mark up from last year.

After, the motorcade I plan to leave. While I would love to stay and meet characters, I know that the boys will not be okay with it. We'll probably pack and swim. Don't cancel Beaches and Cream if you do the package. Just skip the possible dinner at WS and do 2 desserts for dinner instead. It's Disney, it's vacation, why not? :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

It won't quote you for some reason:confused3 but, that is pretty awesome we have two of the same ADRs. Maybe we'll run into each other.

Sounds Great! Can't wait to hear about the reveal.
Thanks, I hope he likes it. I mean I know he wants to go to Disney I just am not sure how he'll react.

Same here, but I want to get though FP day first before booking.
I totally understand. Problem for me is I am giving them to Connor for his birthday and I want to give myself plenty of time for it.

That is frustrating. I think I have decided to stick to iron-ons.
Ugh, that's what I used. I designed my own shirt and put the iron-on on only to have the design not show up. I have ordered more iron-on paper so hopefully my second attempt will be successful.

That's our plan as well.

See you there ;)

I swear our families are going to think we planned to have such similar plans!:rotfl:

Lol, its really just our plans are awesome

Okay, now we just need to plan a dismeet. It's apparent that we are destined to run into each other!

for sure. If we don't bump into each other once it would actually go against the odds.

And 5his is why Dh decided to pass on Starwars weekends.
Even though I am dreading the crowds I just know I wouldn't be able to be there and not check it out. Hopefully, it won't be too bad and missing the motorcade isn't the end of the world.

I know there is a boards for crafts here on the dis(Theme parks community) , I'm sure they can help you with creating shirts for your family.
Also try a YouTube search for shirt making.
Thank you! I actually used the boards to make my autograph book and passports but didn't think about it for the shirts. I found exactly what I needed for everything, I just hope the iron-ons cooperate.

Good luck! I wouldn't think they'll give you any trouble, but I'm glad you have a back up plan.
I am so grateful you said something otherwise I wouldn't have a backup plan. Now no matter what happens I know we'll be fine.

The only thing I'd make note of though, is that you might want to consider FP+ for POTC... unless you're heading there first thing? :confused3
Yeah, we are going right after RD to ride it juts hope its not broken down.

I know the standby line always seemed ridiculous there in December and with this being the last day before a major refurb, I could see how it might get out of control.
For sure, I've heard lines are crazy every since the introduced FP+ hopefully we can get on in the first hour no problem.

I know... I hate the fact that they want you to commit to ADR's, FP+ and other plans, before they'll commit to any kind of solid schedule.
Why do they do this? I love Disney but come on!

Makes sense. A package like that would be very nice from a convenience standpoint. But if you're already up against your budget, that makes it a tough call. Hopefully when they release it there wont be a huge mark up from last year.
Yeah, I am not really willing to pay more than what they charged last year so no big deal if we don't do it. I always have plans B, C, and D :rotfl2:

Don't cancel Beaches and Cream if you do the package. Just skip the possible dinner at WS and do 2 desserts for dinner instead. It's Disney, it's vacation, why not? :thumbsup2 :rotfl:
:scared1: two desserts for dinner, that is a vacation!

Hey just came across this and thought I would send a link your way. I know you've been waiting for info on the SWW packages. Warning, its $399 per person

http://www.magicofmainstreet.com/vip-tour-details-for-star-wars-weekends/
That was so nice of you to think to let me know. Thankfully, this is not the package I am waiting on. That price tag is way beyond what I would ever be able to afford. Funny enough it's $100 dollars less than lasts years vip package and with more included. Here's to hoping they are just as generous with the feel the force package.

Almost FP time :scared:, Tuesday at midnight. I am honestly more stressed out this time than I was the first time. I am hoping to get a few high priority FPs which didn't even exist last year, Mine Train, A&E, and FoF. I finished all my DIY projects for the trip. I made 20 t-shirts :faint:, World showcase passports, autograph book, and countdown chain. Once, I make my FPs it will be smooth sailing until SWW info is announced:hyper:. DH is gone this week and next for work and I was really hoping we could do FPs together but it looks like I am on my own. I will update once I know what I get. Wish me luck :wizard:

pixiedust:Good Luck! :dogdance: You should post pics of the shirts you've done. Your ahead of me in that game. I've done none.

I think they've had some pressure to actually add value to some of their value added packages. I think it was becoming such a money grab that they were getting some pretty negative feedback on some of these events. Keeping the price reasonable, or adding to the perks is something they're trying to do. I mean, it is clear that people are willing to pay for these extras, but only if they're actually getting something for the money. The fact that they seemed to be cutting back on the tickets available for the parties this year without really raising the prices was a pretty clear indication that they're trying to give those of us willing to spend a little extra a little more bang for the buck.

Anyway... still hoping it works out for the package you're waiting for... maybe it will be less expensive or at least give you a little more than last year in the way of perks.

I think you have a great point. There has not been single package I would have shelled out for (except this one and that's only because of the kids) even if I was rich because there is just no value in it to me. My dad even offered to do the Villian's Soriee in October and I turned it down. I don't even mind the Feel the Force as long as they don't completely jack up the price. Oh well, time will tell I suppose. Rumored to be released end of March so we'll see.

I'm sure you'll do fine! Just be online at midnight. Good luck!
Thanks, I've been checking the Dibb and so far everything I want is still available an I don't see that changing in the next 10 hours so hopefully, I am good:thumbsup2.

FPs are made! :worship::dancer::jumping1:

I was on last night at midnight and got everything I wanted. It only took my about a half hour to pick what attractions I wanted and then to change times to fit what I need. So thankful it was a relatively painless process. I did change up a day (I know you guys are shocked :rotfl2:). I have been hearing reports that DtD is still a mess and we were supposed to go there arrival day which is a Saturday. With it still being difficult and probably more crowded on a Saturday I decided to change it up. Honestly, I would be fine skipping it all together but, I really want the boys to do the build-a-droid at Once Upon a Toy. The only other night to go was after AK on Monday and we were supposed to do Wishes that night. I switched Wishes to arrival day and was able to score FPs for that and MSEP. I had a horrible experience with crowds during MSEP last year and decided I was never going to do that again even though I love it so, now I can enjoy without all the angry crowds :thumbsup2. This means we will also have to add a day to our tickets or hopefully for Joe and I we will be upgrading to APs:cool1:. Either way I had a day where I could schedule FPs so I chose to not schedule any for AK assuming that we will be able to get FPs once we upgrade our tickets, fingers crossed. Instead of just listing of the FPs I got, I am going to share my excel sheet which has all our plans for the entire week.

looks like a nice evening you have planned for the first night. Fire works are a fun way to start off the vacation.
Glad you got the FP you wanted.

:cheer2:Yay for getting everything you wanted! Bonus we are now 99% certain to run into each other with the FoF fp.

Great idea! That really works out well for you. I'd hate to tie up FP+ for Wishes on a normal day since I couldn't pick up a 4th FP+, but for an arrival day, doing Wishes and MSEP just seems ideal.

I think AK is a park you could really do without FP+ anyway, even if you can't get them. As long as you make RD, it shouldn't be any problem to get through everything even without them. That said, I'm sure you'll still be able to get something once you add a day to your tickets.

The plans look great! Just wanted to comment that while I'm sure most people around the DIS are good people, you might want to consider hiding your confirmation numbers on your spreadsheet.

Thanks, I am really excited to start with my absolut favorite things Disney does, wishes.

Yeah, I never considered getting FPs for Wishes but, I am excited to see everything without all the crowding.

Well, we aren't doing RD but I think if I ad a day on Saturday I should be able to get FPs for Tuesday. If not oh well we'll just do what we can.

Thanks, that was silly of me, all fixed now :thumbsup2.
