Any recommendations for a Seattle hotel, convenient to the airport as well as Amtrak? We are flying in to Seattle early in the day, meeting friends, then taking Amtrak early the next morning to Vancouver, for a few days before our cruise. We've toured Seattle recently, so don't have specific plans for touring. Just want to ensure we're at the Amtrak station on time.
    Thanks!

I too am taking amtrak. If taking luggage you need to be there 45 min ahead so having been to Seattle before and my plane gets in at. 730 pm I am staying near sea- tac at the hampton for. $110 with tax. Last time we stayed at the Sliver Cloud Lake union and they offered a shuttle but not that early. I am going to take a taxi in the am so I am there by. 630am.

We are doing the exact same thing in June. If you want the closest hotel to Amtrak, Marriott Courtyard is a couple of blocks from the King Street Station but $150 more per night than most SEATAC hotels. We are staying at Hampton Inn @ SEATAC for $110, taking a taxi ($50 est) and using the $100 savings on excursions.

There's a Silver Cloud near the stadiums, which are near King Street Station. Whenever I've checked for availability they are pretty full, especially if there are games going on, and I can't say it's the cheapest hotel ever, but it's nearby.

I did look into that but it was $235 with a AAA discount plus still have to get to amtrak no shuttles until after 8 am. I really think getting to Vancouver this way does not save all that much money but my airfare is free.

You might be better off to stay at the best western by the space needle and use quick shuttle. It picks up at that hotel and is much cheaper!

Quick to Vancouver is a bad idea it has numerous stops plus when you stop at the boarder you must unload all of your luggage and go through customs. On cruise days the boarder can be very busy.
