Hi my favorite people!

What are the must dos for me at Disney land as someone who goes to the world too much!

I get to go as a special stop before Aulani and wanna make sure I make the most of it!

What are your must dos and can anyone explain what the old fast pass system is, how to make he most of it, and what I should use it on?

How's world of color?

Are the lines for the characters as bad there?

In general are the crowds bad?

Best dining experience?

Guys I'm so excited to get to be where Walt walked that's insane!

As a WDW Vet, I highly recommend taking a look at HydroGuys' DLR Guide for WDW Vets. It'll help you get a sense of what is similar and what is different at the two resorts.

The Legacy/Paper FP system that DLR uses is pretty much the same system that WDW used prior to the introduction of FP+. Check out the FP Enyclopedia for lots of useful information.

How's world of color?
Check out the WoC SuperThread for lots of information. I largely think most people like the show itself, but the viewing area is quite problematic for a lot of guests. It's a lot of mist screen projections and colored water, which is pretty, but I find it tough to really enjoy the show if you can't see the water surface which is very difficult unless you're at the rail or taller than a basketball player.

Are the lines for the characters as bad there?
Yes and no...the lines can be quite long, but unlike WDW, there are a lot fewer fixed meet & greets and a lot more "random" meet & greets. It's harder to know in advance who will be where (unless you're going to one of the fixed M&G locations) and when.

In general are the crowds bad?
It depends on when you go...the crowds can be low and quite nice to insanely busy. When are you going? HydroGuy has a thread that summaries the benefits and drawbacks to the high and low seasons.

Best dining experience?
Dining at DLR is very different from WDW. There are fewer TS locations (by virtue of the fact that there are fewer resorts and parks), but I like several of them. What kind of food(s) are you interested in? It's worth noting that dining reservations come available about 60-days in advance, but (unlike WDW), you really don't need to be online/on the phone as soon as the lines open because ADRs don't book up as fast. You can usually find prime dining ADRs fairly close to the date itself. You can see some of the foods at DLR in the Dining Reviews thread.
