For those of who who have eaten here, did you reserve a table by the windows? What time was your reservation and did you see any animals?
I have a dinner reservation at 6:50pm and am wondering if that's too late.

. . . you cannot reserve window seats
. . . you can ask for one at the podium - but no guarantees and you can't wait for one
. . . there are eight window table and six others with a view
. . . and, no, there is no place to stand near the windows to view animals
. . . the tables and chairs cover the window space
. . . one needs to go outside of AKV to the viewing area
. . . the viewing area is away from the eatery, and not accessed from Sanaa

What time was your reservation and did you see any animals?
. . . depending upon time of year, 6:00pm can be too late
. . . in the summer, 7:00pm *might* be OK for part of the meal

. . . I would get an earlier ressie
. . . not only for darkness
. . . but, also since the window tables will have been taken by then
. . . as well as many of the six non-window tables that have a view

You can only see the animals while it is still light outside so whether it will still be light at 6:50 depends on what time of year you'll be there.

Also, you cannot reserve a window table. When you check in you can request one, but there's no guarantee that you'll be seated at one.

We had a 5:30pm in February and it was still light out, but as we were leaving I think around 6:45 it was pretty dark.. The food is excellent!
