Rumor: Full The Force Awakens trailer to debut during Monday Night Football

ESPN, of course, is owned by Disney. There is currently a rumor that the new "full" Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer will debut Monday night during the Giants @ Eagles game on Monday Night Football.

I would think they'd be smarter to try to boost the sampling of their network shows, but I'm not the guy who gets to make those decisions.

I imagine more people will watch it on YouTube, regardless of when it would be shown on TV.

And MNF has the best ratings on Monday night, anyway. 12.182 million with a 4.5 rating last week. 14.4 million with a 5.4 rating the week before.

Edit: Oh, wait... I see what you are saying. Debut the trailer somewhere with lower ratings. Duh, never mind.

I think they want something that gets a lot of viewers right off the bat. The NFL is going to do that

And who's not on the poster?...leading to the rumor that this movie is about "one character"...for better and worse...and the second movie is about the "other" one?

And that also means "the force awakens" may be a good title...unlike the horrid prequel ones...

Episode 9 might be: "old Jedis go all freak ninja like old school Yoda"

If anyone still doubts the social relevancy of star wars just head to amc and fandango sites right now, picked up my tix but the sites are crashing right now. Lol Disney is going to be burning money with these movies and all related merchandise/park additions.

I wonder if this movie alone will cover what Disney paid for Lucas Films. A billion dollar movie + Massive merchandise sales + Battlefront = Happy executives and shareholders.

Honestly this movie may realistically do 2 billion worldwide it wouldn't shock me in the slightest. I go to the movies a ton and I've never experienced the website slowdown and crashing that this is causing. I couldn't believe I got my 2 for opening night.
