Rome and Time

:)I wasn't sure if you were serious!!

When a ship sails, it takes on the time in the zone it is travelling through, which is why those on the TA, were constantly waking up with a different time!!!!

When in Europe, the ship will stay in European Summer Time, which may change depending on where you are, Eastern, Western, Central, but only by an hour or two.

So ship time and Rome time will be the same.

I assumed that the ship always kept the local time as well. We just got off of a Western Cruise though. While we were in Cozumel, we were not on the local time. They repeated to all passengers repeatedly what ship time was, and not to ask locals what time it was because we were an hour off of their time. We went on a DCL excursion that day and our tour guide kept us straight too (as he continued to remind us of the time difference as well:)).

that is bizarre. when we went on the western last summer, we switched the time with the island. our stateroom host even changed our clock and changed it back. :confused3

On our eastern in jan we went changed one hour for st maarteen and then when we went back to st thomas we were still on st maarteen time so we were different from the local time.. thought it was odd
