I received a rumor that the Aerosmith Rock and Roller Coaster at Disney/MGM Studios is the same ride (meaning that the track is the same; I understand that the theming is different) as Space Mountain in Disneyland-Paris? Is this true? Is the track the same (same hills, twists, curves, loops, etc.)?

They are completely different.
The Paris resort has its own version of the Rock n' Roller Coaster however (which is reportedly quite different from the one at the Disney-MGM Studios in terms of theming).

I've ridden both RnRCs and the Space at DLP. They are all launching, indoor coasters. I think that adding RnRC to DLP Resort when you already have Space is redundant.

I preferred the RnRC at D-MGM. It has more theming and story in the pre-show.

DLP's Space is cool. You are shot out of a cannon like in Verne's From the Earth to the Moon from the Baltimore Gun Club.
