Who knew you needed a couple weeks of dumbbell training before a DL trip. :rotfl2:

I've only done it once but loved it... sore arm and all. :thumbsup2

There are "classic" rides you just gotta go on once.... My son and I went in Storybook Land, Jungle Cruise, and Autopia and once was enough.... Just didn't like them at all... We went on Peter Pan, Dumbo, Snow White, Pinocchio, Alice, and Winnie the Pooh just once... He is 13 but I told him they were classics and you just HAD TO ride them once...

As for DCA.... Other than Cars Land and World of Color... We could have done without seeing it... I just didn't get that park.... California Screaming was pretty good, did ride that one twice..

New sleds on Matterhorn are so much better. Each person has more seat/leg space, and I feel like the ride is a bit smoother. So much fun at night!!

FYI, Winnie the pooh is not classic. It is one of the "newer" rides, not an original.

The Matterhorn may have new cars but it is rougher. I went twice last visit and the second time was better as I learned "how" to ride it. Kept my back far away from the seat so it didn't get slammed. Also kept what butt I do have, up off the seat to save it from injury.

Personally, I don't really mind any ride or attraction at DLR
We have done all of them many times over the years...
There are definitely some that are aimed at younger guests and some for older...but something for everyone...
and if you can suspend your "adultness" for just a bit, everyone can enjoy just about all of DLR.;)

I'm a few pages behind, but thanks for the links to the Superstar Limo pics and its background. That was a weird ride - one that I didn't miss. Monsters Inc. is a much better use of that space. But did you know that my Mom didn't know there is a Monsters, Inc ride in DCA? And they've been at least 3 times since it opened...

Agree 100%! Absolutely do not get the frenzy over this show! We can take it or leave it(and usually leave it.)

I would like to see Fantasmic! & WOC sometime, but if I don't get to, I won't cry about it.

Shows are generally not my thing.

I will do pretty much every ride or show once. Then maybe never again. I've seen WOC from the front in a great spot. Since then, if I happen to see it again by just being in the area, fine, if not, fine.

I didn't know it was there and I think I've been to DCA at least 4 times. I do remember the Limo ride though.

The thing I don't get is why Buzz Lightyear doesn't bring in many people, but TSMM has this crazy long line.

    They almost the same thing....

I also don't get everything at Rivers of America. I think the whole thing could be redone with newer rides.

I love the 3-D ones and Aladdin and planned both days of our recent visit around F! And WOC...turns out my menfolk aren't "show people" either. They were annoyed by the wait and uncomfortable and fidgety standing for so long in the viewing areas (we never did get good sight lines at either one). We left about 1/4 way through both of them. (However they all did LOVE Waterworld at USH because of the bleacher seating and not having to wade through throngs of people for an hour.)

Fantasmic is still my favorite show. We saw it opening year and I still love it. We try to do the dessert box instead of hanging out forever for a view, and if it's just me and one other, watch from the Raft dock.

When I went on my trip in February, I remember doing extensive research, but we just HAPPENED upon the Monsters ride, and until then I had completely forgotten about it.

Well, I can say little things about certain attractions I may not like, but I can deal with most attractions at DL. I think some people don't get the fascination with some rides because of the lines, but some of those like Peter Pan are just slow moving. Maybe two or three to a seat, unlike four maybe on another Fantasyland ride. I just may be reading too much into that but oh well. Put me on anything at DL or DCA and probably will find something I like about it. I have my favorites too though....

I never got the Orange Bee swings. I never could figure out what bees had to do with oranges. I'm glad they changed it to Silly Symphony.
