Restaurant Closing times?

Hi,

What time do the restaurants in the parks close? Are they open later than the actual park? Is it possible to get a dinner reservation at Epcot for example after 9:00 p.m. (or whatever the closing time is)? If so, are there issues trying to get back into the park after the closing time?

Thanks!

I don't know how late the last PS is for, but several times we have been in restaurants in Epcot way past the park closing time. It's fun when you walk out of the restaurant and the park is nearly deserted. There are CMs to show you the way out. In other words, no wandering around allowed!!

Thanks. I was just wondering if the restaurants stay open as late as they do outside of the "world." No one else who has been in a restaurant in Epcot knows about what time they close?

I guess we're the only late eaters out there...must be because we don't have kids yet!:D

I am guessing that this eating late will only work if you are driving as the busses do not run that late?

Sounds interesting having the park to your lonesome for a slow walk out though.

Being night blind I would never risk a fellow DISers life in order to have the experience though. (smile)

I know my DH and I did it on our honeymoon in Nov 2002 in MK. WE came out from our PS at LTT and had park to ourselves and a CM escort to Main street. WE caught a bus back to ASMo no problem and I have no idea what time it was.

We left Epcot at about 8:00PM to catch the Illuminations Curise which left from the Boardwalk at 8:15PM, and returned to the Boardwalk at 9:30PM. We asked at the gate Epcot International gate if we would be allowed to reenter the park after closing to get from the International entrance to the main entrance so as to get the resort bus back to our hotel. We were told that we would be allowed to come in as the gates were no longer active after the 9:00PM park closing.

We did not actually find out if this was the case as when we left Boardwalk we decided to take the bus from Boardwalk to Downtown Disney instead with the idea of then catching a bus from Downtown Disney back to our resort. Just to let you know how nice some people are, as we were at the Boardwalk busstop a bus marked "Special" was at the stop and we inquired where the driver was going. She asked us where we wanted to go and we told her POR Riverside, and she said she was taking the bus back to the barn, but would be happy to drop us off on her way as it was close to her destination, so we (ten of us) and two other girls who were also going that way did have a "Special" unscheduled bus ride.

Ahhhh, those Disney moments. Even though they are frequent we never take them for granted. Love the place. Am headed back in May for 11 days. Back again in November. I are a lucky lady.
