Resetting iPod iTouch

The screen is all white, I can't get it to turn off. -.-

iTunes doesnt reconize to reset to fac. settings

Hold the button on the top and the front at the same time for 5-10 secs. It should reboot

We had the Nano, but I could not figure out this one. Seems to be on now, but, needs to charge. I think they get touchy when the charge is down.

Do you know about how long they should hold a charge if it is used everyday for about 4 hours a day?
I thought it should not need to be charged so much.
