Sadly, many adults still do. And honestly, those live action films were a way of telling teens and adults that they could watch this with their family and still be entertained, since several generations of people forgot that originally, animation was for everyone. In fact, there was a time in which Disney was reinforcing this belief. Nightmare Before Christmas, Roger Rabbit... ...Touchstone! Movies that would've proved audiences wrong about what they thought about Disney, wasn't actually Disney. Sure, there might've been some things that might be inappropriate for children, thus why they might've originally been released as Touchstone, but many recent Disney animated movies are PG. The classics... ...main characters can be seen smoking, even getting drunk!
What scares me are the modern movies. What Dreamworks, Illumination, Blue Sky, Sony... ...whatever CGI movie that's being release these days... ...We are spoiled by how great Disney and Pixar is, that we expect the same quality from these studios. On top of that, the doubters, the ones that believe cartoons are for children, the one movie they finally end up seeing are these failures! Not Disney, not Pixar.
