I didn't take photos, but I tried to aim for all new items this trip and wanted to add my two cents:
Day 1 - Checking in to the Beach Club Resort (great resort and pool, by the way!) We had dinner at the Big River Grill and Brewing Co this night - walking distance over to the Boardwalk, which was great. My husband ordered
the beer cheese soup, which all three of us were fighting over after tasting it. My daughter had a grilled cheese with garlic mashed potatoes - they did not offer fries, which I was happy about because, just coming off a week-long cruise
, she had had PLENTY of fries! She loved the potatoes. I had the Kobe Burger, which was just average. My husband also had the bacon burger. We both got the beer flight, most of the beers we both liked (none were bad, just some preferred over others) Overall, we'd definitely go back next time we're in Orlando.
Then we went to the Boardwalk Bakery. I would say everything we got was just OK, because nothing pops out in my memory.
Day 2 - walked over to Epcot and went to La Cantina de San Angel for lunch - it was out of pure hunger that this choice was made! Our plan was to snack around the world during the Flower and Garden Festival, but we just couldn't wait any longer. My daughter loved the cheese epanadas, I got the Tacos de Barbocoa, but my husband's nachos were the best of the three. Such a simple item, hard to mess up ... I wish I had ordered that.
F&GF items we tried:
* Pineapple soft serve with a shot of Malibu Rum - SO good. Worth the $8+?? Eh ... not sure.
* Piggylicious cupcake - SO BAD. My husband tried a bite and refused a second (which NEVER happens). I couldn't finish it either, and was slightly sick from it. The bacon in the cupcake itself was chewy - if it were well done/slightly burnt, it would have had a salty crunch, but instead I felt like there were pieces of congealed fat. Never again.
* Coconut Tres Leche - excellent. We all fought for that last bite.
* Frushi - mixed reviews. My daughter refused to try it on principle. My husband didn't care for it. I thought it was interesting.
Day 3 - my daughter and I went to MK while my husband stayed at the resort. He enjoyed a last minute breakfast at Cape May
She and I had an 8:20am reservation at BoG, which we were almost a half hour late for (they still let us go though, which was nice!) I got the croissant donut (we both LOVED that!) and the bacon and eggs - no complaints. We didn't really get a chance to enjoy the pastries they included because we were full and running late.
Diamond Horseshoe - shocked to see this open (because it never had been on past visits) so on impulse I stopped there. My daughter wasn't hungry, so I got the pork brisket sandwich and shared chips with her. The sandwich was awful. I won't be in a hurry to ever go back.
Cheshire Cafe cupcake cups - WOW. And the CM gave us one for free "for the princess" because she had a hard time choosing which we would share between the two.
Friar's Nook - pot roast mac & cheese - another wow! We shared again, although neither of us wanted to after that first bite.
Plaza - I was too full for dinner, so I got ice cream (no big deal) and she got a burger (average). After getting Mickey bars for free on the cruise, it hurt a little to pay for one later for her, but she loves them. Worth the money.
We also got breakfast at the Marketplace, I think it's standard across all of the resort locations though.
I think that may be it ... I'll add if I remember more, but feel free to ask any questions too.
