Most of the veteran staff is gone except a few (one did remember us from years past). I do miss the old familiar faces though. The staff now consists of interns and newly educated, knowledgeable, energetic young people. All of whom walk around the room and interact with the guests.
Breakfast is the same as previous reviews with the addition of scrambled eggs and “breakfast potatoes” served in 2 hot chafing dishes.
Afternoon snacks includes bagged Doritos, Milano's, Goldfish, Terra Chips with the addition of a toaster with whole wheat or white bread and jars of peanut butter and jelly.
Staff greets you at door for cocktail hour (from a hostess stand) which helps them get to you know you and limits non club guests.
Cocktail hour libations included Sycamore Lane (red and white) and Behringer (rose) wines with a beer selection of Miller Lite, Bud Light, Peroni (no Amstel Light like previous years).
We did witness some a young feral child sneezing on the cheddar cheese plate and another child scooping ice with his bare hand. This is not the fault of the clubroom but of the parents.
Salad greens alternate nightly between romaine and mixed greens with a good choice of freshly made dressings.
Cheese Platters Nightly: Muenster.pepper jack, cheddar, mozzarella.
One cold dish each evening included: Chickpeas salad, mozzarella salad, cucumber salad pasta salad with crab and sun-dried tomatoes, shrimp and corn salad.
Two hot chafing dishes nightly included:
Day 1: Seafood Paella, Tostones
Day 2: Sweet Sour chicken, Jasmine Rice
Day 3: Tortellini Alfredo with pesto sauce, Chicken Cacciatore
Day 4: penne ala vodka Sausage and peppers. Romaine Caesar salad
Day 5: Seafood sausage gumbo. Jasmine rice .
Day 6: Seafood Paella, Tostones
Day 7: Bowie pasta with pink sauce, sausage and peppers,
Final Thoughts: Atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Step up from years past and they seem to be bridging the gap between their target audience and their actual customer base.
