Just a few questions from a novice traveller :goodvibes We are going from manchester NH to Orlando Dec 11 and returning dec 18. We can fly from manchester or boston. At this point I think sw out of manchester is going to be our best bet. Mostly because by the time you add in baggage fees the flights out of boston are not any cheaper. Ok so my questions.
Right now there is an $89 from mht to mco, but all the returning flights are high. Is there any reason I shouldn't book a one way, and try to get the returning flight for less?

I see SW (and jet blue) are running sales right now for travel through dec 14. Is there a chance they will do the same thing after dec 14?

Any tips on trying to get the best deal. There are 4 of us, DS is 5, and DD will be 23 months, and traveling as a lap baby. So 3 tickets. Thanks!

If the fares one-way look good to you, I would book that segment now.

Be sure to sign up for SWA's email alerts for airfare sales. They usually update their fares on Tuesday morning (CT), but occasionally they have an additional sale.

And sign up for DING!, too! :)

Just checked the calendar and realized that December 18th probably is the first day of school holidays. There may not be any sales for that date--although that certainly isn't set in concrete!

If you could adjust your dates one or two days earlier (arrival & departure), you might find better fares. Or not. One day would be on Friday, which usually has higher fares. Thursday tends to have better fares than Friday, but may not be possible with work/school schedules. *sigh*

    So many decisions! *LOL*
