This is a question for either DU customers or the Mods . . .

I'm on the Dreams Unlimited Travel payment website and I want to use 8 x $50 Disney gift cards to pay off my remaining balance for my cruise.

There is a highlighted notation in red saying that "Interim Balance Payments Must Exceed $100."

Well, since I have $50 gift cards none of my balance payments will exceed $100.
I've called their payment line but it's going to voicemail.

Am I "allowed" to input my 8 gift cards into the online system for payment? :confused3

    Please help, thanks!!

I work with Beth at DU and the only way to make payments with $50 giftcards is to call their office. I specifically asked this question since I like to pay with gift cards so that I can get fuel points at Kroger and that is what I was told. Hope this helps. :goodvibes

    Yes you may

Enter the first gift card as you would enter any credit card and in the notes indicate you have additional gift cards and list the information there.

It is requested that you do not submit more than 10 gift cards in any one day.

Why was I told that you could not do this?

    Ron,

So, basically list the 1st gift card info in the box.

Then type out the other remaining 7 gift card numbers in the "additional comments" section below?

Just want to make sure I'm doing this right.

My PIF date is on 1/31 and I've only got today (timewise) to do this. I'm under the 10 card limit.

    You are awesome, btw. Thanks.

Don't worry about it. I was really confused too and that's why I thought I'd go straight to the source here. :thumbsup2

Glad you got it cleared up! If I had known I would have been applying alot more gift cards but since I was told "no" I have been looking for the cards that you can put between $15 and $500 on instead of the $50 cards. Thanks. :goodvibes

You paid with multiple $50 gift cards at the same time or individually?

I think I figured out the miscommunication with myself and my agent. I think she thought I was asking about making a payment with a $50 instead of multiple $50 giftcards and obviously they want each interim payment to be atleast $100. But either way it is good to know that if I can't find the cards that you can put up to $500 on that I can buy several $50 giftcards and enter them on their online payment form. :thumbsup2

I paid for our cruise with $50 cards because that was all they had at Target when they had the coupon special. I just entered each one as a separate transaction even though they were below the limit and they were all processed very quickly. I did stick with the 10 per day limit, though.

Thank you for asking this question! I also have some gc I bought from Target using my 5% pharmacy rewards and 5% redcard discount. They are sitting on the ottoman because I wasn't sure how to input them into the online payment system...I kept meaning to bring to work so I could call. Now I don't have to. :disrocks:

As most everyone has already confirmed, it is okay to use multiple fifty dollar GCs at the DU website. What is not obvious is exactly how to do it, because if you use the online form, there are some "required" fields for which you will have no information, so it seems confusing, well at least it did to me! I called the office and the very nice lady who answered the phone helped me out a lot.

So basically fill out all the info you can, res number, password, type of card and card number. Where it says expiration date, you don't have one so just leave that blank. Same goes for cvv code, those are only on credit cards, so just leave it blank. Fill out the amount, 50 dollars, the payment type, and in the notes section just list: 1 of 10 for the first one, 2 of 10 for the second, etc. After you hit submit, if you use your browsers backup button, it will reload the last page for you with almost everything already filled out. Just reenter your password, it doesn't reenter that, change the card number to the next card, and change the notes to the next x of 10. Makes it much faster that way. Say hello or thank you or something for the last one, that way they know you are done for the day and they will batch process them for you and send out only one confirmation email. I find it takes about 4-5 minutes to input 10 cards. If all else fails, call the number. They are really very helpful.
