I have read here that while you can't substitute a dessert for an appetizer on the basic DDP, you are allowed to get one of the appetizers as your entree. Is this still allowed? Will a restaurant give you the typical appetizer portion that is normally served, or are they willing to make an entree out of it? Can you get an appetizer sampler as your entree? I'm curious because of Kouzzina. While we would like to try it and it is very convenient to BWV, most of the entrees are made with fennel, and fennel is one of 2 foods I absolutely despise and literally come close to gagging if I put it in my mouth (even if a dish has some flavor of fennel, and also the fennel seeds in sweet Italian sausage...I can't eat sweet Italian sausage at all!). In case anyone is interested, the other food I despise is cantaloupe (the only fruit I really won't eat besides raspberries because I am allergic). However, some of the appetizers look good at Kouzzina, in particular the sampler and the spanakopita (spinach pie which I absolutely LOVE and can make a meal of if it is a decent portion). So, do TS restaurants allow this and has anyone ever done this before...what is the portion size like? Would it be better to order an extra side dish or a salad to supplement, then I get my dessert so then it would be enough food, if they don't make it in an entree-sized portion?
