Question about shipping to resort

So The last 3 times I have shipped stuff to and from my home and WDW... The last time we went (2012) I shipped some stuff back (some souviners unfortunatly) and they were lost by UPS... They gave me 100 back on about things that were over hundrend but anyways.... I am leary to ship things now would you do it after that experiance or maybe use fedex this time.. Need thoughts please...

Unfortunately, any and all carriers can, will, and do lose things. If it's super important and non-replaceable, then I would suggest you carry it with you. Otherwise, my only other suggestion is to read the shipping carrier's fine print on how much they reimburse, and purchase additional insurance if necessary.

UPS will only pay $100 for lost package if no declared value. If you put
a $300 value it only cost about 2-3 dollars more. $500 declared value is
4-5 more. these estimates are for WDW to VA.
