I plan to include moleskin, bandaids, epsom salts, etc. But I have no idea where to buy Body Glide. I would really like to try this. Where do you get it?

Any sporting goods store has body glide. Dick's had it on practically every end cap last night. Almost bought it except we prefer monistat's anti chafe gel (Wal-Mart or any drug store in feminine care aisle).

If you don't already have it I would also suggest some peppermint foot lotion for after you are done with the park for the day. It works wonders for soothing sore feet after a long day of walking. Runners use it a lot after running a race.

I buy the peppermint foot line from the Body Shop but any would work.

Shopping list getting longer. Fortunately, I am 15 minutes from a mall with all these stores.

Yes to some kind of foot soothing lotion. We have a citrus/sage/tea tree one also from Wal-Mart. We also found a peppermint Epsom salt! And bring scissors for the mole skin.

:thumbsup2 I didn't think of this my first trip, although I was proud of myself for remembering the moleskin itself. I was like MacGyver trying to figure out how to cut moleskin with keys, nail clippers or my teeth!

Saw another post suggesting to pack a small basin to soak your feet in if you have foot problems - I wouldn't bother for healthy feet, but I do often ice my tendinitis after a day on my feet and I'd rather do it on a chair than perched on the tub in my value resort. Sounds like over packing, I know, but if you fill the basin with clothes it really doesn't take much room and happy feet are key to a happy park day!

Instead of body glide, I have always taken the Clear Desitin, put it on my feet in the morning and right before bed, along with clean cotton socks. 40+ years, and never a blister!!

I was going to suggest Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion.

It's the one I take with me.

I've also brought a heating pad with me and Ziplock bags. Ice you can get at the hotel, but heating pad not so much.

I am a runner and do use body glide and it works.

At several races there was sponsors who had those little deodorant sticks for free and I grabbed some for travel uses. Well on a race I couldn't find my body glide so I used it and it worked.

So if cannot find body glide use stick deodorant.

What is moleskin and what do you use it for?
And what is body glide?
I've never heard of body glide. Moleskin is something that you can make clothing out of here!
Just curious

Some good scotch helps too. Not for the feet but for relaxation.

For an added bonus, pop your lotion in the fridge. The cold peppermint lotion on your hot, tired feet is like heaven in a bottle!

I struggled with foot problems in early 20's (plantar fasciitis/ $$$ custom orthotics, multiple steroid injections etc)

In my bag I would always carry a pair of cheapy flip flops for the very end of the day- walking to car or walking back to your room- sometimes I just needed to get my feet out of my sneakers do some foot/ lower leg stretches. I found it helped a lot.

Besides the above suggestions from PPs, I'd recommend a good pair of walking shoes or sneakers. Buy them now and break them in.

We had a family gathering a few weeks ago. My wife announced to the whole table..."Gschon said we are getting some astro-glide for this year's Disney Trip!" :rotfl2: I corrected her immediately.

Bodyglide is like an anti-chafe rollon you can use against blisters or areas of skin that tend to rub eg thighs.

I've never seen it in a shop in the UK but you can buy it online on Amazon or in basically any sports shop in the US. I use it every trip now, and even at home for running, would recommend it.

Multiple pairs of shoes are a must. Multiple pairs of shoes that you have worn many, many times before. I bring a pair of Crocs, a pair of flip-flops, and a pair of very worn in tennis shoes. That way if something happens and one shoe starts rubbing or your tennis shoes get wet, you have something to fall back on besides the WDW shops or brand new shoes.

Our first trip I brought one pair of shoes each. DH had to jump into the AKL pool to save our daughter who had gotten into too deep water and had to walk around with damp shoes for the rest of our trip. Not fun.

He He...bringing enough shoes along won't be a problem for me.:rolleyes1
