I believe in Grand Cayman any alcohol purchased must be sent to the ship from the shop you purchase it at. And, since DCL doesn't accept deliveries to the ship in foreign ports, you can't buy it there.

I would think so. We been able to pick Pure White in Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Barbados - although none of the trips were on cruises. We weren't able to find it in the Bahamas, which I thought was odd - but that was 3 years ago.

Princess Shmoo is correct....Grand Cayman is the only port where purchasing alcohol is a problem.

My son purchased Pure White Hennesey on St. Thomas and was so happy he found it. We went to WDW for a few days after the cruise and it was packed from the ship to WDW in a carryon. They totally forgot about it in the carryon as that bag was not needed at WDW and when they went through security at the airport the TSA confiscated it with a big smile on his face. My son said....I guess you guys are going to have a party tonight and was told...oh no...we dump all this this. Yeah...sure.

There is a duty free shop right where the tenders drop, the woman there said we could purchase what we want and they would walk us through customs then hand it to us and we could take it to the ship. We ended up not doing this due to getting back a little latter than planed but I saw many other Disney passengers making orders. So at least from that store, you can buy duty free.
