Right? I'm soooo lucky to be attending for the second year in a row. Fingers crossed I don't melt.

May-hem!!!

So.....um oops. I totally made plans as soon as I got my AP to do a Disney weekend with N in May. Later on I saw they had Star Wars Breakfast starting in May @ DHS & jumped on it for Dcuz's birthday . No issues because her bday is the end of May, but oops I made reservations for her & I and she needed to bring MM. So I stalked MDE until I found a Thursday (she has the Weekday Pass) in May for 3. I was super relieved when I got one!

UNTIL...

Yesterday when Dcuz & I were eating lunch at Epcot & she was checking MDE and said "Um, your going May 1-3?" I said "Yeah with N" and she said "But we're going the 6th & 7th"

Duh!

She said "Are you sure your DH will be ok with you being gone all weekend and then Weds & Thursday?" I started laughing! What a problem to have. Our passes blackout in June for pretty much the whole summer & both trips are important (pre/mother's day girls weekend & Dcuz's dream dining reservation with Star Wars characters to celebrate her bday.)

Then I answered "He'll have to be."

So, logistics & finances may be...tricky, but where there's a will there's a way.

Wishes...

I wish we had two working vehicles because planning Disney trips with only one stinks. Next week, is Dapper Day at WDW. It's event held at but not affiliated with Disney. People dress up & go to Disney.



So when I first heard about it I thought "Pass, that's not my thing." But now that the DL Dapper pictures are everywhere I feel like it might be fun. Even if I don't dress up it would be fun to see all the outfits. The trouble is...No ride. I'm wondering if I could get away with taking the car on a Saturday...

It's harder to do that with my Mom no longer able to drive (medical issues , the unpleasantness I referred to earlier) she's always been my back up. Bugger. Also, all the stress makes me want to..you know..run away to Disney!

I probably won't make it, but I may plan a fancy Disney outfit anyway for fun.

Or plan on making it to the one they hold in fall.





This is an old picture (of when I was pregnant) of the dress I was considering wearing. After lamenting my overall lack of dapper-ness I don't know if this is happening. If I can find a fashion forward partner in crime I'll dapper up otherwise it goes on the Disney bucket list for now.

Dapper Day Update:

I did not make it out to Spring Dapper Day, but I did decide to plan on Fall Dapper Day. I want to wear that same green dress, but do a Mr. Pricklepants (Toy Story 3) bound.

When am I headed back?!?

I decided that there aren't enough unofficial dress up days at WDW. If you Google "Unofficial Dress Up Days Disney" you'll get a ton of hits for Disney Land, but there's not much outside Dapper Days going on at Disney World. What's a girl to do? Throw One.

Bah, dun, dun nah!



The first Nerd Day at WDW.

My dear sweet DH agreed to take the kids all day on a Saturday & I'm gonna rent a car! I was hoping for another road trip with N, but she can't make it this trip. I'm solo this trip, but not really since this is my party, ya know?

So exciting!

I debated driving up Fri and getting a room, but I can't justify the $$$ So, for know I'm planning on picking up the rental car Fri night and driving up in the wee hours Saturday. I'll head home that evening.

I booked some FPs Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan & Barnstormer because I am perpetually 5yrs old. Or more accurately I'm not overly concerned about rides just happy to get to be at WDW.

Most Importantly this trip though is...which character will I Disney bound as?

There are so many great Disney characters that are nerdy.

I am doing a Chicken Little bound!

And I bought these


Still working on the rest of my accessories, hair and make up. I'm pretty sure I'll wear my sparkly green sneakers although I was tempted to buy orange chucks (when would I wear those again?). I contacted an Etsy seller about a bow, but plain red would be fine.

First, Nerd Day! It was yesterday. Depending on how you look at it it was a Success/Failure more about that in my TR, but here's a picture:

It was a good day & I was a little sad leaving, but I'll be back next weekend for whole weekend & on the following Thursday!

So Next the pre-mother's day weekend getaway.
The plan is roughly the same: We'll leave as early on Friday as we can get away. I noticed today N booked our first FP at 1:30, we'll see... We did decide to jump on the "weekend special" & rent a car for the weekend. It's good to have a reliable reasonably new vehicle for the trek plus the husbands will have our cars while they're flying solo with the kids. We're staying offsite.

We're supposed to hit HS Fri, MK Sat & AK Sun:


Reservations for Sci Fi Fri night, Coral Reef Sat night and Rain Forrest Cafe breakfast Sun

What am I wearing?

I haven't a single clue. I was hoping to coordinate bounds with N if she's game, but her mom's in town so we haven't been able to talk clothes yet. I have a Dopey now so I think one day we should do Dopey & Snow White.


Cute, huh? Purple t-shirt, lime green shorts, brown sandals, purple bow and colorful gem earrings for the mine.

Last (for now), but not least DCuz's Bday Star Wars Breakfast!

This plan changed a few times first it was the 28th, than we moved it to the 7th. Then we were going to stay over on the 6th, but in the end it's a day trip. I'll take it.

So, we'll hit HS as close to 9am opening as possible. When we had the 28th we had an 8am breakfast, but when we moved it to the 7th we got 10:20 so it's more like brunch.

I'm a HS fan, but Dcuz & MM (3) are luke warm about it. Because MM is 3 & DCuz doesn't do roller coasters or drops. I booked us some FPs for Disney Jr, Beauty & the Beast and The Voyage of the Little Mermaid. MM LOVES her some Ariel and I've never seen (gasp!) the Beauty & the Beast show. We'll see how things shake out.

DCuz has wanted to do a Star Wars character meal since forever! So, I'm so glad we're doing one in celebration of her bday! Also, Our last trip together to Epcot for Flower & Garden I bounded as Lady and DCuz got totally excited about Disneybounding! We've been discussing Star Wars Bounds.

Disneybound Decisions...

So, we're all set to leave tomorrow in the early afternoon! So excited! I spent today doing laundry and packing. For Friday N is wearing this shirt (no Disneybounds for her):

Since I'd already done Alice I thought I'd do a fun take on Cheshire Cat. I had these cute cat ears I'd used for a Cheshire cat costume one Halloween and I had the perfect shirt. I like the look, but I'm having a lot of trouble deciding which shirt.

Our moms weekend off was pretty amazing. Next trip?

Thursday!! I'll be at HS in the morning for Star Wars Breakfast at Sci Fi Dine in. I enjoy Star Wars, but I'd never do a Star Wars character meal for myself. It's in celebration of Dcuz's birthday who is a HUGE star wars fan.

Here's my bound for May the Fourth today



So, I did a fun Yoda today. I'm still planning on Leia bounding. Dcuz is planning to "go imperial" since we'll be meeting Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Greedo, Jawas & Stormtroopers.

We did decide to park hop after breakfast over to MK. I grabbed us FPs for Little Mermaid, Winnie the Pooh & Peter Pan, but that could all change. The main event is breakfast whatever else we get to go is a bonus. I really wish I had a lightsaber necklace...

This Weekend!

Ok, so sorry I've been MIA. I was cast in a play and our final performance was yesterday. So, you've just finished the run of a successful show, what now? DISNEY WORLD

I'm heading over Fri to check in at Pop & head to MNSSHP!

I'm dressing as the Haunted Mansion walls! I have this skirt:


I'm adding black lace to it

I'm wearing it with a black lace shirt & gloves. I also bought these:



I have changing portrait earrings and purple Toms too.

My friend J (from Nerd Day) is dressing as the tightrope walker from the stretching paintings! It's gonna be amazing.

On Saturday, it'll be Fall Dapper Day! I'm using the same green dress, but we decided to be villains so I'm gonna be tick tock croc!

Still holding my breath that the amazing crocodile watch necklace will arrive in time. It's amazingly perfect and beautiful but handmade so it took longer than I expected. I ordered a plan B watch necklace from Amazon in the mean time. Fingers crossed.

I'm thinking I'll sleep in soft curlers and then pin all my hair into an up due for both outfits. It's supposed to be SUPER hot.

It's gonna be an amazing weekend! I can't wait!
