For images to show up in your posts they have to be uploaded to a web site somewhere and referenced from there. You might be able to see them here but no one else can as they are on your hard drive.

Check out the links on this thread. There are instructions on how to do all this including getting your own web pages here on the DIS to which you can upload your pictures.

Need some help please? I can't see my photos anymore? What happened....everything was great and now the pictures that I took from my site have gone...at least I can't "see" them?

Could be a couple of things that I can think of right now. I tried to hit it directly and I couldn't. The site (or even that particular page) could be offline right now. It might come back in a while.

The other is that some sites really don't allow you to reference image on them from other sites, like you are referencing that image from the DIS board site. That is why it is sometimes easier to get your own site here on the DIS and copy picture to your site that you want to display here.

Oh ok. Thanks for your help. I did create my own site on the DIS but am not really having much sucess in understanding how to get the photos on the site. Maybe they'll come back for me........thanks!

Thanks Bob! But how can I make the picture just a little bit bigger? I don't want it to be sized for my signature but I would like to know how to post pictures that are about the size of a photograph?

Just play with the width number some. For example, here is the same picture with width=300.
