price

They don't really offer discounts. Sometimes they offer incentives if a particular trip/date isn't booking well. The incentives last year were Visa gift cards. In the past they have offered a free 3-day cruise, $500 off airfare (that only to places like China and Australia for certain dates), and long ago there was a free child with paying adult and probably some others I've forgotten. But they might not offer anything. Generally they start out with the lowest price when they release the itineraries and raise the prices as the trips fill up.

Thanks! I would love to do 1 of the Italy trips but way to much for my budget.

Many travel agents offer incentives for booking, like Visa or Amex gift cards. DU has an early booking discount (there is a sticky at the top of the board). And Costco gives a cash card rebate up to $2000 depending on the price of the trip. The trips are still quite expensive, but it helps a little.

Anyone have more info on the costco program?

You can go to the Costco Travel website and select Packages/Escorted Vacations/Adventures by Disney for all the details. There is a number to book on the website and when you call that number you are connected directly to ABD. They will ask for your Costco membership number and tell you how much your cash card will be. Other than that, it's exactly like booking directly with ABD. Any further communication you have will be directly with ABD. The pre-trip package is sent to your house - not to a travel agent. The amount of the cash card is dependent on the cost of your trip. For our Southwest Splendors trip this past summer, the total cost of our trip was $5538 and the cash card was $450. For more expensive trips or more travelers it will be higher. Maximum is $2000. The offer is per room. So if you book two rooms, you will receive two cards. The card comes in the mail a couple of weeks after you return from your trip.

Just received my Costco rebate gift cards today - two weeks after we returned from our Viva Italia trip. It was $700 per reservation (couple). Since I made four reservation I received four $700 Costco gift cards - that's $2800. This will sure come in handy with the holidays coming up.

Since I knew the trip for eight of us was going to be expensive - DH applied for the Costco Amex card (I usually use my gold Amex for everything and earn points). So on top of the rebates I will be getting 2% back on all travel in the form of a check in February - that's over $900. What's good about this it's a check that I can cash at Costco - it doesn't have to be used at Costco.

I think AAA offers a discount, when I looked into it it was something like 5%. Since I was getting more back from Costco I went with that offer - I am there every other week anyway.

Anyone have more info ? Thanks for share.
