    Hi...

I'm in the planning/info stage in the cruise world. We last took a cruise in May 2003 and I'm itching to go again. I just have a ? about the suites. Does Disney charge a flat rate for the room or do they charge per person? We're looking sometime in April or May (any week... preferrably not a popular one, ie. spring break). Is the room like in the 10K range or lower like in the 7-8K range?

    Thanks!

The suites charge like all of the rooms on a per person basis. For a family of 4 I would guess that your estimate is close, although I'm not sure how much they change for high vs low season. We are booked for a cat 1 for four and are around that figure. Good luck with your ressie.

We booked a category 3 for our cruise and are wait listed for a cat 2. We were told that the cat 2 would cost us about $1500-$2000 more for our family of 4 (they gave me an exact number but I don't remember but I was surprised that it wasn't that much more). This was for a Christmas cruise.

According to the DCL Vacation Planning book, Prices for a Cat. 2 range from:

    4-night cruise: $2,299 - 2,849 pp
    3-night cruise: $1,999 - 2,549 pp

It looks like 3rd/4th/5th guests are:

    Under age 3 for 7/4/3 night: $139/$99/$99
    Ages 3 - 12 for 7/4/3 night: $399-2,199/$329-1,199/$229-1,099

I was given the quote of $11,200 for 2 adults, 4 children -12,11,9, and 3. But it was in the off season 11/26 sailing, it was available too when I checked about a year and a half in advance. We were able to get 2 cabins a cat 5 and cat 11 for half that price, so that's what we decided. It sure sounded fabulous though!
