Just in the planning stages right now. I read on another web site that you can purchase a card for beer on the ship. Has anyone ever done this and if so could you let me know the price? Was it limited to certain brands or types(bottlle or draft)? Could the card be used everywhere on the ship? I think this would be great idea for us, no surprise bar tabs at the end of the trip.

    Thanks for any info

I don't recall anything about a beer card. Disney doesn't use the prepaid card system for anything that I know of. You can buy a 20oz beer mug and get refills for the price of a 16oz. That is the only "deal" I know of.

Have you considered bringing your beer onboard with you? You can bring a soft cooler as a carry-on with beer, liquor, etc.

DH bought the 20oz glass on our cruise in May - it was worth the cost for him. :)

The only other beer deal that we were aware of was buying a "bucket of beer" - this consisted of 5 or 6 bottles in an ice bucket for a certain price. ;)

I bought the beer mugs back in 2005 and still have them. Will they still be good for a 2008 cruise?

Do you remember how much you paid for the mug back then. Could it be used everywhere on the ship?

    Thanks for the info

The mug last Thanksgiving was 12 bucks. Yes you can use it anywhere:thumbsup2 And you can bring it back on your next cruise and use it:worship:

I say bring your own favorite beer. Or buy when you get into port. We bring on wine and rum. Bring on what ever you can carry.
