What hotel is DCL affilated with near Port Canaveral? We were originally planning to spend a day at Magic Kingdom, but now thinking about simply flying in the night before. I would prefer hotel where I can book Magic Express from MCO Airport and also get free shuttle from hotel to port on the morning of departure. Oh, and a pool at hotel!

There is no Magical Express from MCO to the port (hotels). Magical Express only shuttles between WDW resorts and MCO.

There is no hotel that DCL is affiliated with at Port Canaveral. There are several nice ones with nice pools but you will have to get there from the airport on your own. There are no DCL buses (even with a fee) that will take you to a port hotel. The paid DCL transfers ($35 pp each way) only run from WDW to port or MCO to port and reverse on days when a ship is in. They don't go to any port hotels.

Marriott Residence Inn is our favorite but are going to try the new Homewood Suites by Hilton on our next cruise. We have stayed at MRI, Country Inn and Suites and the Radisson (all 3 are near the port). There are several on the beach like the Doubletree, International Palms and some others.

There are some hotels that if you stay there night before your cruise you get 40% off parking at the port (if you had a car or rented one).

Discount Port Parking for Partner Hotel Guests
Driving to Port Canaveral?
Many cruise passengers driving to Port Canaveral arrive at least one day before their cruise and stay in a local hotel, yet they would prefer the convenience of parking near their ship at the Port rather than taking a hotel shuttle. If this is your desire, why not save 40% on Port Canaveral parking?

Port Canaveral has partnered with 23 of our local hotels that now offer a Port Canaveral discount voucher at check out. The program is very simple. When making a hotel reservation with any of the active partner hotels listed below, tell them that you would like to take advantage of the Port Canaveral parking voucher program. During checkout the morning of your cruise, the hotel front desk will issue a voucher that you present to our parking attendant and you will receive your discount on the spot.

Please note that you cannot use this voucher when pre-paying for parking.

And some port hotels do have partnerships with shuttles from MCO

Any preferred DCL hotels near Port Canaveral that offer free shuttle from MCO to airport?

Okay, what are some nice hotels that most people stay at?

Ill just add to the above. The 3 closest to the port are the Country Inn suites, Radison and Residence. All 3 are next door to each other. Those are probably the top 3 that people choose. Now with that said, each has there own following for 1 reason or another, and each will say they like Resort A for different reasons. Its all subjective. Personally we like the Country Inn Suites as its the closest to the port and has port view rooms. Radsion and Residence in area little farther away but not by much. All 3 have shuttle service to and from the pier, and I think all 3 have preferred transport from the airport to the resort, but its a pay transport.

We like the oceanfront suites at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Cape Canaveral Beach Resort. We enjoy the water slides and the lazy river, as well as the mini putt. Not a money saver, but beautiful views of the ocean, and of the ships coming and going from the Port.

Thanks everyone! I booked a hotel at Country Inn & Suites. They have shuttle from hotel to port for a small fee. I also reserved Cocoa Beach Shuttle from Orlando Airport to Country Inn & Suites. Can't wait to go on our very first DCL next month!!

Make sure you request the port view room, if that's something that interests you. Its a nice little touch to wake up and see the ship sitting at the pier in port. Theres only a handful of rooms that overlook the port.

Haven't stayed in a few years, but in the past we have used Country Inn & Suites a few times and thought it was good. We could leave our car at the hotel as an included part of a package we booked as well which was a great perk. I agree with Truck1 about the port view rooms too! :teeth:

I just booked the Homewood Suites that is opening right across the street from Country Inn and Suites....
