We just returned from 13 nights at FQ. We were in building 5 on the backside near the open area where the movies are shown. We LOVED this resort. We ate at the food court a few times..everything we had was good. We even booked for next year!
I am ready to answer any questions...ask away.

I came back from POFQ on tuesday morning and I WANT TO GO BACK!!! I almost started crying on my last day when I realised that we were actually going home the next day! But everything was lovely! There was a powercut one day, so we couldn't get an evening meal at the food court, so we had to go over to Riverside but the window thingy we wanted food from closed at 11pm, so we only just missed it :rolleyes2 The hot tub was cold one afternoon when we went in, so I notified the lifeguard and they fixed it quickly enough.

We had problems using up our quick service and snack credits though. On the last full day we still had 26 snack credits left :P It was an easy fix though, as I'm a norwegian girl that lives in England, I just went to the Norwegian shop in Epcot and got chocolate for most of it :lmao: We ended up leaving with 3 quick service credits left though. I was tempted to ask someone if they wanted some free food, but we had to make our way to the airport as we'd already spent too much time in the park.

We will be there in two weeks !!

Just got our confirmation with Garden Grocer last night !!

We stayed at Wilderness Lodge in April and it was great, given the savings over a deluxe it is worth the trade off.

This will be our second at POFQ we loved it two years ago and the kids were so excited about being there again. We are psyched to be there again !!!

Can we hang window gel clings? I found some really cute Halloween ones and would love to put them on our window!

Yes, lots of people do this. Just make sure you don't use anything that will leave marks for the hotel staff to have to clean off later. This gives you an idea of the window pane size at POFQ:

Yep, every night. If the weather is bad, they show the movie on a TV set up in the food court.

Tonya, I started reading your blog last night and finished it a short while ago. Wow, what an inspiring story of faith, courage and humor. Its wonderful to read how a "village" came together to help meet the extra needs your already challenged little family faced when your DH volunteered to be a kidney donor for a little girl you read about on Facebook. God bless you all.

Although we are planning our first visit to POFQ next February I believe you have chosen the best resort for your family due to its small size. Have a wonderful trip.

Hi all. We are leaving in 20 days & I am beyond excited! I was wondering if there is a way to get a case of water once we arrive? We will be flying in & taking the Magical Express. I know about garden grocer but I dont need/want anything besides a case of water. I am hoping there is some way to do this.

Also, if I want to put a request in for a room/building, do i have to call reservation desk or is there a spot to put requests on the online check in ?

    Thanks!

Yes...order through costco.com We have done that on past trips without a problem. It will be delivered to luggage services. When you order, put your first and last name where you normally enter your first name. For last name, put your reservation number. Then enter the resort address. Order a few days before your arrival date...it takes about 2 or 3 days for shipping. I think it's about $8 for a case.

Ordered a case of water one week prior to trip thru Walmart. Total cost for a case less than 5.00.

We are set to check in Saturday:) we are planning to leave Friday and the original plan was to drive 7 of the 9 hours and get a hotel. Then get up Saturday and dive in. Now dh is asking about driving straight and getting a hotel near Disney. But if its after midnight it's technically Saturday- if by some odd chance our room was ready would they let us check in?

Disney's systems do not turn over until about 6AM. So, it would technically be Friday night according to their computer systems. They would not be able to check you in for a Saturday reservation. You would have to make a reservation for Friday night to get checked in.
