What is the difference between the Cruise Terminals in Port Canaveral vs Miami.
The one in PC is so nice and dedicated to Disney Cruise Lines.
Does anyone know, is it the same in Miami?

I have not sailed out of Miami, so I don't know the actual terminal, but it will not be like Disney's terminal at PC. That one was custom built for Disney and is the only one thus far.

The terminal in Miami is 'Disneyed up' and has banners and an area for character meets, but it is not reserved for Disney so anything that's there can easily be removed (since there have been no ships there since May, I'm sure the Disney stuff is stored).

Anyway, it is a much smaller waiting area. There are about 15-20 windows for check in, and it looks much more like the check in/waiting area of an airport than PC terminal. There just isn't a lot of room.

We've sailed out of both ports on DCL. There's no question that PC is much more "Disney" than Miami. They did put up some Disney/character banners in the Port of Miami but it doesn't hide that the terminal is utilitarian.

Thanks All. That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Id rather get a little more Disney Magic by going to PC.

So how about the differences between the Dream and Magic/Wonder? 2 very different ships. Does it feel like downgrading going from Dream to one of the smaller ships? Or is it top notch no matter which vessel

Miami terminal is just for waiting to board the ship. PC terminal is more of an experience. That being said, after 10+ cruises, the ships the destination. I have sailed DCL twice out of Miami, and have a third one scheduled for next year.

Yes, it's 1-2 hours at most. Both terminals have bathrooms and seats, and really that's all that's important.

We've sailed on all four DCL ships. Never felt like one was a downgrade from the others. Our favorite is the ship we are on.

Issues with Miami is that DCL transfers only work from MIA and flying to MIA tends to be more expensive than MCO or FLL.

Also, hotels near the port of Miami are in downtown and hence more expensive than PC. But you can have decent prices by staying by the airport or even FLL.

On the other hand, MIA has the classic ships and because it's not selling well, you get better prices than from PC.
