Our reservations at GF begin on 11-26-06. We are driving down and will arrive sometime on Saturday 11-25-06. We will probably spend the rest of that day at some of the monorail resorts. We will check into the GF early the next morning and start our days at the parks. For the night of the 25th would you recommend POR, Downtown hotels, or other local hotels?

    Thanks

Well, I am onsite addict so I would definitely go with POR! We stayed there last year and absolutely loved it. Really lovely grounds, it was a pleasure just walking around the resort. My children (8 and 10 at the time) still rave about that pool. Since it sounds like you won't be doing any parks that day, POR would be great since it is just a boatride to Downtown Disney. Personally, even for just one night, with no parks, I would stay onsite. Also, if you stay onsite Disney will handle transferrring your luggage over to the GF.

POR. Stay onsite. The bus service will be better than at the other places, plus you can take advantage of EMH.

We stayed at POR in August and loved it!
