Popcorn Buckets

Coming to DLR in less than two weeks!! My son is crazy for popcorn especially in Disneyland. What souvenir buckets are still there?? Do they still have R2-d2 or Dumbo? He would be over the moon to get any Star Wars popcorn bucket but he'd just as easily be happy with Dumbo.

The Dumbo buckets are adorable. If you don't have one, you really should get one.

Im not sure if you can still get the cars lunch box form Flo's .. but we did last year.. and then used it for popcorn bucket over the day..

Souvenir containers change, but back in December they also had a Darth Vader helmet popcorn bucket and Stormtrooper helmet mugs in select locations in Tomorrowland. If you son likes Star Wars, it's worth looking at the snack kiosks and QS locations in Tomorrowland to see what souvenir items they have. A SMD mentioned, there are Lightning McQueen car shaped buckets at various locations in DCA (primarily in Carsland, but I've seen McQuen being offered at other popcorn stands in the park). Dumbo was a bit hit-or-miss on my last few trips, but I think that's because they had the holiday buckets out instead. I would check for Dumbo on Main Street and in Fantasyland (those are the two most consistent locations I've seen him).

I haven't seen Darth in awhile. I was going to mention that one, but I convinced myself I was remembering pics from WDW and hadn't really seen that one. I did see the Stormtrooper cup recently at TLT. It was briefly pushed out by Baymax, but now he's gone and the clones have returned.

If you want, they'll sell you the popcorn bucket and the popcorn in a paper container like usual. I prefer it that way because I give the buckets away and I don't like to clean out all that oil.

I completely know what you mean! I did see it at Christmas (mid-December), but it might have been because they were sold out of the Mickey Elf bucket so the non-seasonal premium buckets were back out.

I definitely agree about asking for the popcorn separately from the bucket if you get McQueen. That was is tough to wash (lots of stickers and has hard to reach spots). The only drawback is you don't get as much popcorn.

A friend of mine saw on some blog they are going to have mickey balloon shaped buckets for the 60th celebration.

The Disney Parks Blog showed off one of the new popcorn bucket designs that they have for the 60th. In the comment section, it says to start looking for these when the 60th anniversary kicks off on May 22.

When I was there last month I saw the Dumbo bucket at the cart in Fantasyland, over across from the Tea Cups near the Matterhorn.

I plan on getting a bucket of some sort. My brother in law has an annual pass and he got me two of the Zero buckets in October. I must add to my collection now!

Dont forget Mickeys kitchen sink at the ice cream shop in D/A, last year it was $11..95 I believe .. with or without 3 scoops of ice cream.. I Have it on my desk full of candy..
