Poly vs. GF DVC poll

?

If you were buying GFV and a POLY DVC was announced, would you wait?

  1. BUY GFV NOW

  2. WAIT FOR POLY DVC

If I were in the market, it's VGF for sure. It's one of those personal taste things. The Poly just doesn't do anything for me, although I sure it is a very nice resort for those who love it.

I used to want to stay at the GF for our 25th wedding anniversary but since our stay at BLt i'm no longer interested. i'd rather buy BLT points than poly or GF.

We really have no interest in GF, and aren't really in the market for more points. However, if the Poly does happen, we'll be adding on in a heartbeat. We loved it there, and I know our kids would think they were in heaven. I'll be working a zillion hours to pay for it though..... :)

I do have to wonder, "if" the rumored plans for DVC at the Polynesian come to pass, will those that love it now, still love it enough to buy there.:confused3

It won't resemble the current Polynesian at all.

I can assure you that this is not a rumor. If you look at the recent Google Earth images of the Polynesian Resort, then you will see that land to the left of Luau Cove is already being cleared for a T-shaped longhouse. Moreover, this is the same site where sight balloons were spotted last year.

More information about the expansion of the Polynesian can be found here:

Two longhouses will be added and Tahiti will be converted.

Also, it is my understanding that the Polynesian was planned last because it is viewed as more desirable than the Grand Floridian.

As much as I'd love to disagree with this, I can't. If I had to say there was one resort with the most loyal following, my first thought would be the Polynesian. I'd welcome DVC there, we haven't stayed there in years but would enjoy returning.
