Imagine that Poly and Pop were the same price...which would you pick?

I love Poly, but part of me will miss Pop!

I would take a monorail resort over one with only busses any time. Plus, being able to sit on the beach with a drink in your hand and watch Wishes? It doesn't get much better than that!:cloud9:

I'd take Poly over Pop if similarly priced, of course! But I do love the Pop too! (and I like the price).

    POLY!!!!

Ok, now I am really gonna get it over on our other thread!!! Not only am I a two timer POPPER, but given the choice I would do my filandering over at Poly!!!! This is the only resort I have ever said that I have to stay in before I die... with my parents, it is GF... so, we will be staying in GF before Poly, and probably a few more POPs before Poly... but my #1 choice is POLY!!!!!:hippie:

    I would choose Pop.

I have limited mobility and I need a Handicapped accessible room.

All of the Polynesian's accessible rooms are in the Rapa Nui building, first floor, garden view, on the side that faces into the resort.

If I were going to stay at the Poly I would want to stay in a room with a MK view but since I have a disability that choice is denied me.:sad2:

I love Pop but would stay at Poly in a heartbeat. The theming at Poly is amazing and like someone else posted it is the one resort I want to stay at before I die. We're booked for Sept because we got such a great deal. I can't wait.:cloud9:

My vote was for the Polynesian and here is why. Since you said forget about the price here was my reasoning. Pop Century is a Value Resort, where as the Polynesian is a Deluxe Resort so because of that you can't compare them even if you don't include the price. In the end the Polynesian offers a lot more in terms of overall services, restaurants (Ohana, Kona Cafe, Captin Cooks and I guess you can include the Polynesian Luau dinner show), transporation (buses, monorail and ferry boat) and a lot more.

My family and I are staying at the Polynesian for the very 1st time this December in a Garden View Concierge room in the Hawaii building which is something we are looking forward to.

I guess I would say the Poly but I do love Pop. Now if the poll said Pop for 14 nights and the Poly for say 5, no question I would go with Pop. But for an equal length stay with price being thrown out of the decision making process, yes I would say the Poly.

    Wow, what a brilliant question!!
I guess this would rank with - which do you prefer, Hilton or Motel 6?
Better still, forget about the price, do you prefer The California Grill or the Food and Fun Center at the Contemporary?

A garden view room at the Poly is still tons better than any room at the Pop. It's not as though you can have a MK view at the Pop from anywhere. At least with the Poly if you go a little bit outside your garden room to the beach, you can have that MK view.

We stayed at the Poly this past Dec and I must say it was amazing!! We stayed consierge and let me tell you it was worth every penny!! We have two DS at the time 9 mnths and 2 and a half. It was perfect we were not planing on going back to Disney for another 5 years but we quickly changed our tune(we are going back again in Dec) If you can afford it realy the Poly is a must and being that close to all the diffrent modes of transportation is great. Have Fun!

this might have been the easiest poll to answer in the history of polls.

Believe me - you won't miss POP. My goodness. If you do, please let me know because I may have to do an intervention for you.

Thank you for saying that. I was beginning to think this was a belated April Fool's joke or something. :confused3

That's like saying. If a BMW 3 series convertible and a Ford Escort (do they make those anymore?) were the same price, which would you prefer. :rotfl:

My apologies to the OP as this is off topic.

I guess the Ford or a Crysler or GM product since I need to help my relatives, friends and neighbors keep thier jobs.

I also buy Michigan potatoes, cherries and apples and anything else I can to help my local economy.

I think the values are wonderful for what they are and I plan on trying each of them once. I know on our budget right now that staying at a value is the only way we can do WDW on-site however I fully intend to work my way up to the Poly. I've already got the order of stays planned out, LOL ~
    2006 was ASMo
    2007 ASMu
    2008 POP
    2009 POR
    2010 Poly

For us it will likely be a one-time thing because we just don't have that kind of money to toss around but I do think it will be more than worth it to splurge just once so that we can have the memories of staying there. ::yes::
