Bob Varley, you might know him as WebmasterBob passed away this afternoon. Many of you might know him from the podcast or his Kaht Kam videos.
He was also responsible for much of the photography on the boards
Bob was one of the original posters on the DIS and was the first Dis'er I ever met in real life. I have so many fond memories of Bob, I remember wiring his house for the internet while my daughter and his son played soccer in his yard. Some fun days spent shooting pictures of the Flower and Garden show in Epcot.
He was a good man and a great friend and he was taken from us much too young.
I'm sure Pete and many of us will have much more to say about Bob in the coming days.

I am brokenhearted.

Bob was a funny, entertaining, sweet man. He had such a dry sense of humor, and a wonderful sly little smile. He was having a ball with the podcast and his new rockstar status- people recognized him and KahtKam all over the parks, and he was having a ball!

If you want to get an idea of the craziness that was Bawb, you should look at his Star Wars Weekend with Bawb and KahtKam video.

This is a dark day for the DIS, for the DIS Podcast, for Dreams Unlimited Travel, and for Bob's extended network of family and friends.

Please say a prayer tonight for Bob's wife Diana and son Brian. :sad1:

I am very sorry to hear this. His family and friends are in my prayers.

My deepest condolences to Bawb's family. He was the nicest person, and we'll really miss him. :sad1:

Bob - or BAWB (with his NE accent) - was one of the first posters I "met" here on the DIS almost 10 years ago. He was a vibrant contributor to the site in the early days under the username "Wilderness" - after his favorite WDW resort.

His stories and fun personality are legendary from those days on the DIS. From his exploits as Tink before the evening fireworks to Harold the traveller - he was a creative man with a love for Disney and a love for life.

Rest in Peace, Wilderness.

Very sad news. Prayers for his family.

How sad. My condolences to all who love him.

:grouphug: My condolences to Bob's friends & family.

I didnt know Bob - but Im sorry for your guys loss. :(

My thoughts are with his family, as well as his friends. :grouphug:

I am shocked and saddened by this very unhappy news.

I didn't know the man, but I absolutely adored him on the podcast and the Kaht Cam videos. There's a little Bob in all of us. Just the other day, I told my friend there were two people we had to keep an eye out for at WDW - Bawb and Yeti Man. But I really hoped to see Bawb.

His absence will be felt.

I will say a prayer for him, his family and all of you who knew and loved him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Very sad news, indeed.

I didn't know him but will say a prayer for the family and those that mourn the loss of his life.:sad1:

Well, this is about the worst news that I have read on the DIS in a long time. I am so sad. I have been a big fan of Kaht Kam and the DISunplugged. Bob will most definately be missed. My prayers are with all of his family and friends...real world and internet.

How sad:sad1: We've lost so many disers over the years like this:sad1:

My deepest condolences to all who knew him and loved him.
