Crasher alert! Found the thread by stalking the new posts link. DH is not into Disney as much as I am and does not even have a DIS account. I just wanted to say hello to the Dads who love Disney. Hopefully, that will be my DH some day. That said, I will bid you ado.

I have the same problem in reverse. My wife likes Disney but I think when the kids are older I'm going to have a hard time getting her to go with only the 2 of us. :confused3

As much as I love trips with my kids (well my youngest just turned 3 months today and is not taking his first trip until December), I loved the trips that DH and I took before we had them too. He better still go with me after they are grown. Hopefully, she keeps going without too much of a fight on your part.

Hopefully, she keeps going without too much of a fight on your part.

The first I ever went was in 2005. My wife went a couple times as a kid with her mom and her moms boyfriend. I guess they spent the trips fighting with each other. She doesn't see the castle and get excited. She sees it and thinks about fighting and leaving before they could ride a ride. I am working on getting her past all of that but I think its going to be hard. I just hope my kids love it forever. That will make it easer.:thumbsup2

That is so sad. DH and I agree that the castle is much more impressive at WDW than DLR (although they both make me giddy). Both my husband and I grew up going to Disneyland (with nothing but happy memories). I still love going to this day, so hopefully your kids will take after me. My husband usually gripes, but he enjoys himself.
