Pixiesprite's little 3x4" journal cards ***closed for requests***

As usual, they are beyond perfect!

The puppies, well, they're puppies! lol They are sleeping longer at night, as I have started them on a routine. I gave up the whole feed them this much at this time. I just leave their bowls with food and water most of the day, if I can remember and hubby keeps my little pitcher of food filled. The food only comes in 50 pound bags, so we keep it in the garage. About an hour before I'm ready for them to go to bed I make sure they have tons of food and water available, then pick it all up a half hour later. Put them out just before I'm ready for them to go to bed, then put them straight in their kennel and cover it for the night. They only have to go out once or twice before the kids get up for school this way, and it's usually a quick trip.

Now, if I could just get my daughter to listen to me when I tell her that once they go to bed, she is not to fool with their kennel or the blanket over it, I might could get it really good. And the Border Collie often finishes his business before the Doberman, and he starts trying to herd her to the door before she's quite done. It's comical to see their instincts already presenting. My daughter is going to have a blast training her smart doggie!

I made some Baby Minnie & Mickey frames on another thread - they are 6x8" in size (the transparent centre section is 3.5x5"). They make very cute journal cards and mini frames so here they all are...

Big ones first:

- Baby Minnie Mouse - Baby Mickey Mouse - 6x8 Frame (transparent 3.5x5 centre section) -

and the journal card sizes:

- Baby Minnie Mouse - Baby Mickey Mouse - 3x4 - (3rd card in each line is a frame with transparent centre) -

There is no rush at all, but IF you have time, I'm interested in one or two for my Girl Scouts. We have World Thinking Day coming up (it was actually in Feb, but we got snowed out, so we rescheduled for mid-April) where we're having an International Tea Tasting. Each troop chooses a country (we chose Russia) and you make a tri-fold board with info and pictures about your chosen country, and you provide a warm drink and small food item for the other girls to taste. The girls go from booth to booth, trying new things and learning about new countries, and getting their passport stamped. Is there any way that you could make one that just is for Girl Scout World Thinking Day OR Girl Scout International Tea Tasting. I would like to print several of them out and give one to each girl to jot down her thoughts just before we leave to come home, and I will include them in her scrapbook of the year.

P.S. These puppies are finally starting to be ok. They got an intestinal parasite and it was a huge mess. I mean, cleaning and mopping the kitchen floor three and four times a day! I'm just now starting to catch up on rest!

Excellent @DisneyTasha , should have something for you in a couple of days :thumbsup2 Glad to hear the puppies are ok, that sounds quite unpleasant :scared:

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY to everyone :shamrock: (i know that's a clover but it's the closest I can find!) If you need any cards, you can find them on post #282 and remember....

Yes, it absolutely was. However, we were thrilled to realize that it was an illness that will now easily be remedied, and NOT a problem with them learning to potty train! They are now sleeping in bed with my daughter and myself through the nights most nights. They lay down with her at her bedtime, then I take them out for a quick break before I go to bed several hours later. They usually will be fine until the kids get up for school in the morning and let them out. So that's a HUGE relief!

Completed request from post #926

@DisneyTasha , I know you said "OR" but I went ahead and did "AND" so you have 2 cards to choose from :) I had a peek at the World Thinking Day brochure from their website and they had these cool sideways banner flags with strong blues which went well with a nice globe - the World Thinking Day card pretty much DISigned itself after seeing that. Then a nice cup of tea clipart led to some soft classic peachy tea colours for a tea tasting card. Hope they will be suitable for your day....

Folks, here are some Star Wars Day at Sea cards as promised :darth: A Darth Vader version of the 2016 year card along with some general cards with different coloured glows to match the exciting characters you might meet onboard!

I love the girl scout ones, they're perfect as always. And while I adore the Puppy Power cards, I'll let DD do her journaling on them for now. I can't even imagine what my thoughts might be LOL Just kidding. They're getting much better now that they're better health-wise. Only thing is they are both puppies and they love to play and are teething. That little baby doberman has some sharp teeth and she's hurting us. I'll have to discuss that one with the vet!

Hi pixiesprite!!

I had an inspiration last night... could you work your magic and make some cards both 3x4 and 4x3 lined and non-lined... more Disney color designs like red, yellow, and/or black for bordering (white background to write on)... that says Disney Day title box (we could add numbers like Disney Day 1, Disney Day 2 or Disney Day June 5, 2014). My thought is to use them as itinerary journaling cards.

Is that clear as mud??

I am no hurry... just got a thought last night...

Thank you bunches for your time and creativity!! It is much appreciated.

@PrincessNancy96 , excellent idea. I shall do up one or two sample cards for you to make sure we are both thinking of the same design style, I should have them for you this evening/tomorrow.

I was browsing on the interwebs and spotted Keep Calm images with QR codes on them. These inspired me to make a Disney version.... here is one with a sample QR code so you can get an idea of how they look/work.

If you are not familiar with QR codes, they are basically an image generated from a URL, it can be for any URL really and they are often used in scrapbooking to link to videos on Vimeo/Youtube etc. Traci Reed has an excellent tutorial on how to include a QR code in your scrapbooking, I recommend having a peek at it... http://tracireed.com/news/2013/01/add-video-project-life/ If you use the QR code generator she recommends then you will not have to alter the size of the code you download to use on the cards - it should be the same size as in the above sample.

So in a nutshell, you download the card you want to use, generate the QR code you need (see link in Traci's tutorial), download the code and using Word/Paint etc. you can pop the code onto the card then print it! To read the code you need a barcode scanner app on your phone. There are lots of them in the App Store/iTunes.

Also, if you are like me and don't like to put videos online, one option is to use Vimeo and password-protect your video. You can then pop a note on your scrapbook page so the person reading it knows the password to input after they click the code. You could use a cute little tag or piece of flair to write the password on. Actually there's an idea.... I will be back later today with another set of these with a spot to write in the password.

Enjoy! Please feel free to request any other text you might like on the cards if you like the idea of the card but have something different in mind! Or if you have an idea for a different style of QR code card please shout out!

- Keep Calm and Scan the Magic Code - various colours - Add your own QR code - filler card - 3x4 -

and here are the cards with a spot to write in a password if your QR code links to a password-protected video. There are two styles - the first is a narrow tab at the bottom - you'll have to write super neatly or use a small font, I didn't want to make the tab too big or it would be distracting :) The second style uses one of my little stampers so the password space is a lot bigger but I guess it leaves the black card as digital-only - unless you have a super "I can write on black" pen!!

QR codes etc. are explained in the post above this one :thumbsup2

@PrincessNancy96 , here is my idea.... now it may totally not be what you were thinking of so please do let me know if I am way off-course.

I have made a sample card set in yellow for you... 3x4 & 4x3 lined and unlined...

- Disney Day - with box for day number - 3x4 - 4x3 -

If you like the DISign then I can go ahead and make more colours for you. I was also thinking.... last year I made several "inspired by" cards for a request, they have mostly white/light coloured centres and coloured backgrounds. We could make them into Disney Day cards for you, here are 2 samples so you can get an idea what they would look like - inspired by Goofy & Minnie (just one sample card of each style)...

- Disney Day - with box for day number - inspired by ... Goofy, Minnie - 3x4 - 4x3 -

To find all the "inspired by" cards I have just pop along to the index on the first page and search for the word "inspired"...

So, if you like these and you'd fancy getting some more please give me a list of which cards you'd like modified from the inspired collection, or alternatively some colours you'd like to use... requests are normally only for 3 cards but as these would be modifications to existing cards you can go ahead and just give me the list (although don't make it scary long :crazy2:).

And of course, if this is not what you were thinking of please let me know and if you could give me some more information on what you'd like I can work on another sample style for you :magnify:

Hi Pixiesprite!!

The top ones with the yellow border were exactly what I was thinking of!!! Those will work perfect!!!
If you could do a red border set and a black border set I think my itinerary page would be what I had imagined.

Take your time making these... I am in no hurry because I can always make place holders on my LO while you work your magic!!

I like the inspired set too but the yellow, red, black border design was more what I had envisioned for my scrapbook page! But thank you so much for the alternative idea.. It may work for another trip that still needs scrapped!

Thank you again for everything!!!

@PrincessNancy96 , here are your cards! The red ones are the same style as the yellow but the black cards are a little different - the text doesn't look good all black or with yellow/red around a black fill so I have given you a few options - black with yellow-filled text or black with white-filled text. The white-filled text cards have 2 options on line colour - black & yellow.

Let me know if you'd like any more styles of the cards :goodvibes

- Disney Day - with box for day number - red - black - 3x4 - 4x3 -
