I don't know how to make a magnetic door sign, but I would like to make one for the www.mousefest.org this year. So I thought that I would read through all 700 plus pages of taeja21 great thread at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=838817&page=1&pp=15 and list those posts with newbie information and links by post number so that you can find them on the wonderful original thread, and quote them here.

I don't suppose anyone would like to help me make a winning magnetic door sign for my cruise.

I have some pictures and some ideas, and I was going to try and get Kinkos to help me. The round stateroom door is 7-1/2 inches in diameter and I was going to try and put pictures in a circle around this to form Mickey's head and then two other larger pictures in the shape of Mickey's Ears.

I have some other ideas to that I can do with Home Depot Paint sample mickey heads.

I just don't know how to take the pictures and put them online and manipulate them in a circle and ears for a Mickey's head.

    I am just so excited.

I just can't believe how beautiful these Disney Wonder Stateroom Door Signs are.

    You made wonderful designs, triplefigs.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, triplefigs.

Do you think that I might win the Mousefest Stateroom Door Sign Contest with these absolutely beautiful Door Signs?

I am going to put the wreath over the stateroom door number and the rest of them around the door.

I have some of the authors book covers to put on the door, too, along with some of the web site logos.

And I will add some more pictures of the cruise each day.

And, of course, some Home Depot Paint Swatch Mickey heads to write names and such.

I am just so "Wonder"...fully happy.

    Thank you, Denise.

    I just had to share.

    Sincerely, Ray :)

Ray, you signs look great! Isn't triplefigs the BEST ::yes:: She designed a birthday on the Wonder T-shirt for me, which I'm also going to use as a door sign. All the men and women who've become DISNEY DESIGN ADDICTS are doing a great job.

RaySharpton - Thanks for putting all the great tips from the cruise door thread into one condensed place. It will be very helpful for newcomers. I have been following the cruise door thread from the beginning and there are some wonderful designs and very talented people out there. And yes triplefigs does some awesome designs. She is very talented.

Ray, I can't PM or E-mail you here so I'm hoping you will read this....

Thanks for creating this great thread. I like how you've grouped every thing. That was no easy task dredging through the Mag Door thread. Have you seen it recently?

I've added your thread to the first post of the Mag door thread so other people can see/use it.

    So, how was mousefest?

We made full use of the Disney paint chips from Home Depot. All the Disney colors already in the shapes of Mickey ears...slap some magnetic tape on the back, add you name to the front..and you are good to go! :cool1:

    Excellent threat!

ok, now I want my own magnetic door sign. Even after reading all these instructions . . . still don't think I could do it.

Anyone want to make a sign for me?

I noticed that some of these families have several signs. Do families make several signs and change them out each day of the cruise, or do they put all of them on the door at the same time?

After I have read several posting Im seeing where they have door signs pretty much for each. Right now I do have one for formal night, pirate night, castaway cay. Im not sure if I want to do one for everyday, but knowing me, I will.

Also if you have children, I have made them cards to hand out to their new friends.
