Malware threat in some ad : paly.google.com.store.apps.siteadvisor.club Redirect

I am using Chrome on an android device. On the disboards I am finding I am being redirected to paly.google.com.store.apps.siteadvisor.club/.... which tells me I need to download a new version of android.

This does not happen when I turn off Javascript.

Probably one of the ads has malware. I am primarily viewing the DVC boards.

The Url is (added xxxxx so it is not clickable)

And the message is:

Update to the latest version of Android

The old system program will cause the system to slow down.You do not upgrade to the latest version will lead to system failure.

How to update:

Step 1:For security reasons,tap the button ,download the tool from google play,about 1MB in size.

Step 2:Install the downloaded application, Your system will be more faster and safer.

Today (a moment ago) when I clicked to go to my Personal Details page it said malware detected (possible trojan horse?). I am using a chrome browser on a laptop.

I'm on chrome (on a laptop). I just checked my personal details - no pop ups or other issues.

I didn't see any pop-ups, but we have the pop-up blocker enabled. It hasn't happened again , even when I went back to Personal Details now.
Just wanted to report it in case it was a bigger issue.

I have not seen it again, but it appears to happen based on what ad was presented, not the page you go to.
