I pre-ordered the Unofficial Guide through overstock.com. I have contacted them numerous times and no one seems to be able to tell me if and when the book shipped out. Has anyone else ordered this thru them and gotten theirs yet? They sure never wasted any time back in July in charging my charge card!

I have ordered other things many times from Overstock and never had any trouble. Usually they ship really fast. If you ordered this in July and haven't gotten it yet I'd think it got lost. Keep calling customer service until you get an answer.

Is this the 2006 Unofficial Guide?

Funny. My friend just ordered this book from Overstock and was given a shipping notice already.

    I'd keep calling Overstock.

I had a recent bad incident with Overstock.
I ordered 2 Nintendogs video games. The games were shown as in stock on Overstock. The games had already been released at stores.
It wasn't until 2 days after I ordered did I find that Overstock changed my order status to a preorder.

I telephoned Overstock. I was told too bad. The games were sold out on their site, so they changed my order to a preorder. I was told that there was no time limit for them to fill the order. My credit card was charged immediately. I would have never bought a preorder. I was told that if I don't receive my order by the 3rd week of Nov then call back. Overstock's policy is to not allow order cancellations by customers. No refunds on pending orders, either, unless they do it.

I had to call my credit card company.
Big surprise.. my order was cancelled by Overstock after I got my credit card company involved..
I know 2 other people online who had their Nintendogs games changed to preorders. Overstock is still selling these games as in stock.

If my friend could order the 2006 Unofficial Guide and get a shipping notification then you certainly should have already received it.

    Call and call again.

I've never had trouble with Overstock before, but now I'm leary of using them.

In both the Imagineers Guide and Unoffical Guide instances it appears that the original publishing delays were moved several times. I have read several reports of delays on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble for these books. The Unoffical Guide appears to have been released in the last week or so...

The Unofficial Guide was just released within the last week. I had pre-ordered mine from Amazon and it was shipped yesterday morning. I know that others were saying that they were able to pick it up at Barnes and Noble over the weekend.

I'm glad that I pre-ordered from Amazon and not Overstock...Amazon didn't charge my credit card until it was shipped.
