I think this thread is single-handedly responsible for the hiring of a new Disney World Resort employee. His sole job is to scrape all the lime green mickey heads off the doors.

Can't remember if the resort doors are metal like they are on DCL. I attached magnetic tape to the backs, rendering them removable & reusable.

This sounds like such a fun idea!

I'm already meeting someone from this board who I am lucky enough to be sharing his Wishes cruise. Maybe I'll meet others!

I vacation with only my daughter and it's fun when we meet other people (usually on the longer lines!) and get to spend some time with them. One time we met a couple with a daughter the same age as mine, and we spent the whole night in Magic Kingdom together (it was an EMH night too)... the girls had so much fun. Too bad they were leaving the next afternoon.

So anyway... I ran (drove) down to my local(ish) HD and took all the alien green paint samples to mark our backpacks and doors. I did leave one though, in case someone actually wanted to paint a room that color
Seems that DISUNC might have found the one I left since we seem to be neighbors. Sorry I took so many, next time I'll leave you a few more

So here's my story. About 2 weeks ago my DD(14) and I went to our local HD and swiped all the LGMHPC at that store. We then sneak out to the minivan to count (who ever though someone as cool as me would love a minivan a/k/a dweeb mobile?) We got 23. I told my daughter that she's lucky she'll only go to Juvie if we get caught, but I'll have to do hard time in prison!!! She thinks its worth the risk for both of us. (I've raised her well!)

Well then last week came and I was having a horrible day!!!! We had torrential downpours all day and I had to drive through that nasty weather to go to court conference in a neighboring county about an hour away. (No, don't worry, we didn't get caught swiping LGMHPCs, I'm a lawyer). So anyway, after the hour drive in the pouring rain, I get to court, can't find a parking spot, so have about a five minute walk to get to the courthouse. Of course, my umbrella breaks, so this walk is in the downpour, (kinda like when those people on the bridge at Kali River Rapids nail you with the water). I get into court looking like a drowned rat, and have to go through the metal detectors, because I forgot my attorney i.d. card. Now these security guards know me, and know that I'm a lawyer, but no i.d., no free pass.

Of course, the metal detector goes off, so they then scan me with a wand, and let me through, because as it turns out I don't have any weapons and they do not know about my life of crime at HD! (Word of advice, when expected to go through a metal detector, like at an airport on your way to visit the mouse, don't wear an underwire bra, I suggest a lime green sports bra for safety.)

So, I finally get in to see the judge, and the other attorney does't show up! We wait for about a half an hour and then give him a call. Turns out he forgot to put the court date in his diary, so we reschedule the conference and off I go back into the pouring rain, without an umbrella.

I start the long drive back to my office totally depressed, because with driving time, I've used up half a day, and nothing has been accomplished. I'm feeling totally sorry for myself. I stopped for a red light. (I will swipe paint chips, but I would never run a red light!) While stopped at the light, I look to the right and see .... can you belive it.... A HOME DEPOT!!!!!

So of course, I turn right and make my way to the paint department. Still no umbrella for the walk through the parking lot, but who needs an umbrella... I'm on a mission and after all, a little rain never hurt anyone, right?

I swiped all but one of the chips, I try to leave one for that person who actually wants to use this color in their home decor! I run out to the car for the count. Got another 33! I'm now so happy!!! Who cares about the start of the day, no big deal, it was all worth it for that swipin' moment. Wanted to call my DD to share the news, but she was in school!!! Can't let her risk detention by getting a cell phone call in class! I'll let her risk Juvie for the paint chips, but not detention after school!

Well now I think I understand how Winona felt. She didn't need to steal those clothes from whatever store she took them from. She just had to do it!

So anyway DISUNC, if you haven't yet got those paint chips, PM me and I'll send you some. If anyone is deserving it's you. I don't mind sending the contraband throught the U.S. mail, across state lines. I'll add a federal offense to my rap sheet, if you need the goods! I hear the federal penitentiary is nicer that state prison!

3 weeks and 2 days til my trip!!! 11 days at Boardwalk!!!

My Mom ( 65 years old ) was so into grabbing these Mickey Heads when we found them, it was a hoot !!......one Home Depot had them, the other was completely out....hmmmmm who lives near me ??!!
We will be proudly decorating our door & hotel room windows !!
With a pencil tied/taped to the door for passers-by to leave us fun messages!!
My 5 yr old DD had to grab one of each color of Mickey Head, I wonder what Home Depot thinks ??!!

My Home Depot has a sign up saying the these are not Mickey Sticker's.... Obviously they have no idea about us DISer's!

When we go to Home Depot, my DH makes me promise not to go and get anymore of them...I have a nice little stack at home, afterall, you never know when you might need one!
