I just bought dd13 a MP3 player and am looking for discounts or free music downloads that I can get for her. I already belong to Rhapsody, but the $10 per month plus the $0.89 per song is getting expensive for as few of songs as she downloads a month.

I spent a lot of time on the internet when DS wanted to use limewire... searching for something that said it was legal... and I never found anything I considered reputable.

We use itunes and get songs, movies, etc.

We use I-Tunes. It is 99 cents per song, plus you can buy I-Tunes gift cards at a lot of places.

Beware of services like Napster - you are only renting those songs. Once you terminate with them all of your songs are gone too. No so with I-Tunes - they are yours forever. I'n not sure about Rhapsody, but that seems like alot paying a monthly fee plus a per song fee?
