Online Check-In: Now 60 Days Out?

    Package reservations can use the code with the letters in it - that's their confirmation number. The 12 digit code is for rooms.

    It's just buggy right now.

    system is def buggy. I assume the 60 day online check in is due to the fact once FastPass + is live you can make your "ressies" for FP+ at the 60 day window. I am betting u must be "checked in" online in order to do so.

    I'm not sure I could check in 60 days prior and settle in on that resort reservation without the possibility of changing it. :lmao:

    494 can check-in @ 60 days out (theoretically), but don't have to be paid off until the 45 day mark. I wonder how that will work for Disney. Will they have to disallow any check-in unless the reservation is 100% paid in full?

    I found it interesting that my DVC member reservation on points was retrievable on the new site, but my Annual Pass room only reservation wouldn't come up. On the old site it was the other way around. I would love to get it so everything is in one place!

    Just a few days ago.

    Disney likes to roll out their changes when they are only partially finished, so it's no surprise to me that it isn't fully functional. I bet it won't be for at least another week, but I wouldn't bet on it being solid (or as solid as any Disney website can be) for about a month.

    One day I couldn't get one of my reservations; the next day I could.

    And every time it tells me "we can't get the full details of your reservation, but you can link it to your account". So I do it, and it looks just fine. So I don't know what FULL details they are waiting for, but it's OK with me. I also know that Disney's IT department desperately needs someone in charge of *appropriate error messages* (so they stop panicking people when the error message "you have no reservations" comes up when they MEAN "our system isn't fully operational right now and we can't access that information...please don't freak out"). So I can't help but think that "we can't get the full details" is just another one of those erroneous error messages...

    I said I wasn't going to do any of the hotel reservation linking, but I caved on that, LOL. But I have decided to manually link one dining reservation, and I'm just going to wait and watch as the rest of them show up in the next few weeks.

    Think it is still VERY buggy. Had to re-enter all my information such as reservations, seems to have some good features but wouldn't recognize my resort package reservation number. Edit: Just called, the cast member reported they are having some issues with the new system and have been receiving a lot of calls in regards to it. Should be back online in about 2 hours!

    I wonder if this somehow connected to FP+? The online guidelines of the upcoming new experience references a 60 day window to pan your events. Seems strange that the 60 day number is being introduced at the same time.

    I think you are right. One thing that I noticed, and has been discussed in other threads, is that if you opt for FP+ (reserving FP Times in advance) you won't be eligible for regular FP ticketing. It's an either/or option for fastpass. Once implemented, we would be able to pick FP+ attractions at the 60 day mark, so I guess they are saying, you have to be "checked in" in order to book your FP+. Would that mean that we would have to be Paid In Full prior to checking in before booking FP+?

    Right now, Paid In Full isn't required until 45 days out. That's a 15 day difference between checking in and booking FP+ and paying off your vacation.

    I wonder if Disney has thought through all of the potential scenarios? :confused3

    I doubt that eligibility for FP+ will have anything to do with being paid in full for your trip. Room only reservations aren't due until check in. I don't think they are about to change the policy on that.
