BREAK OUT THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!

Sorry, but I enjoy Christmas music too much to limit it to just four weeks out of the year. So, our home has a permanent notice that anytime after Labor Day, the Christmas tunes WILL commence!

And they have.

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
:D :D :D

(If you must roll your eyes, go ahead. I'm not watching. :jester:

Break out the Christmas movies! My wife and I have a deal. I'm not allowed to start watching Xmas movies until immediately after Thanksgiving dinner, and must put them in storage after New Years Day. But between those two dates, waaahoo!

So what's your favorite, songs and movies?

Movies:

It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Carol (must be the black and white version with Alister Sim).
A Christmas Story (with Peter Billingsly)

All three because quality never dies.

Favorite Song is the Vienna Boys Choir singing "The Little Drummer Boy." Nothing else even comes close.

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas....

Hey Pat! It must be a "Central Pennsylvania" thing! :D

Songs:
Well, it would be easier to go by the CD's instead of individual tunes for me.
Manheim Steamroller!!! (I enjoy these more and more every year)
Bryan Duncan: Christmas is Jesus
Michael W. Smith: Both of his Christmas Projects
And some Brooklyn Tabernacle Chior thrown in.

Movies:
Any and all "A Christmas Carol"
Tim Allen's "The Santa Clause" movies. (Number 2 due on DVD 11/18)
"The Ghosts of Dickens Past"

There MUST be more but I'm drawing a blank right now.

Add me to the list of (South) Central Pennsylvanias who start thinking about Christmas after Labor Day! Added my countdown yesterday!

I'm from South Jersey and you can count me in :D As soon as I'm done school clothes shopping my thoughts turn to Christmas, Thanksgiving too. It really is the best time of the year. I love the Philly Thanksgiving parade. I love Christmas movies and tv episodes. My favorite is A Christmas Story. Of course I love The Santa Clause. Also the one with Arnold Swartzanagger and Sinbad.

Pat, your daughter is beautiful. God Bless.

I completely agree with these!!!!!!!!
My favorite by Michael W Smith is "Emmanuel."
My favorite Manheim Steamroller is "Carol of the Bells."
I LOVE Jaci Velasquez' Christmas albumk ESPECIALLY "The Angel Song!!!!!"
Jars of Clay's versions of "Little Drummer Boy" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" are fabulous!!
I also love Plus One's christmas album especially "This is Christmas" and "The Medley:Have Yourself a Merry Little Chrstmas/I'll Be Home for Christmas/O Come Let Us Adore Him"
Last years WOW Christmas CD, especially Audio Adrenaline's "Little Drummer Boy" and others.

Movie-wise, I love
Both "The Santa Clause" movies (like you mentioned). The first one was better, but the sequal was cute.
the classic Christmas movies aired on TV every year (Grinch, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Charlie Brown Christmas, etc)

And you guys waited until now to start listening? I pulled out one of my CDs back in July because I just couldn't wait any longer...lol :p

Can you tell Christmas is my favorite holiday?? I can't wait!!!!!! :bounce:

Jingle All the Way!!!!!! I have forgotten about that movie! I LOVE it but it's been a while since I've seen it!

I'm sticking up for the joke songs since I'm looking for my copy of Adam Sandler's Thanksgiving and Haunakuah songs

OH! How could I forget!!!!?

"One Special Christmas"!!! They even use selections from this at Epcot. Couldn't believe it when I heard it there.

Unfortunately, the project is ten years old this year and it's an EXTREAMLY rare find.

Only 103 days until Christmas.:)

Hey, how did you all know??????

I just ordered my Christmas cards from Colorful Images just a second ago. I said THIS year I am going to do it. I ordered personalized cards, labels & a matching envelope seal.
AAAAAHHHHH..........

Family Portrait on Sept 30th....

Next stop... QVC & HSN for my gifts.

Indeed, pump up the volume!

I LOVE "A Christmas Story" with Peter Billingsly. My favorite part is at the end where he is cuddling up with his gun and it is snowing and you feel so happy... and knowing you are going to watch it again as soon it is over.

I adore Christmas.. Last year I got the Ally McBeal Christmas album and it became an immediate favorite! But I love Halloween and Thanksgiving too. My son turns 18 on Thanksgiving this year.. Hes my little turkey!!!!

LOL This thread is just too funny!!!!

I love that time of year too, especially since my birthday is December 18th -- it's like I don't have a birthday, I get two Christmases!!!;)

I wasn't thinking about Christmas, 'til I read this thread, lol.;)

Yahoooey!!!!<img src="http://hometown.aol.com/wishydoo/images/113.gif">

OMG! This music just gave me heart failure! ;)

Usually I dont get into Christmas until after Halloween(call me crazy), but since we are planning a WDW trip for this Christmas, count me in!!! Ho Ho Ho!!!!

Laura you share my DS's birthday! :D

You guys would love it here. We have a radio station in town that plays all Christmas music from around Thanksgiving until 12/26.

We have a couple of stations like that around this area, it depends on where you're at.

I think the satilllite radio stations should look into this. "All Christmas, all the time!"

Okay, maybe that's a little overboard.

I just had a thought for a "Sister Thread". Keep an eye out for it.
