We are! It'll be our first big family trip and the first time for the kids on an airplane (we did go when DD was 4mo, but of course she doesn't remember that). We'll be there Feb. 3-12. Kids will be 5, 2 (turns 3 Feb. 17), and 5 months. My parents are talking about joining us for part of the trip. We're planning to stay at Art of Animation in the Little Mermaid rooms (aiming to book through Orbitz for a discount) and getting PH for DH and DD, while I will be upgrading my DLR pass upgraded to the Premier pass. Yes, I'm totally an over planner! I can't wait for room rates to be released so I can get to work!

I think I'm in! I always have potential trip dates swirling around my head but i mentioned to DH today we should do next Feb. And he agreed. He's a teacher so we're limited to school vacations. I wouldnt do xmas vacation and Past 2 years i've done april vacation and it was a little warm for me. Now, i did go last august with just DH and it was H.O.T. but it was bearable b/c I wasnt running around with the kids, standing in a million lines, chasing characters, etc. I could not deal with that in the summer heat. so february it is!

We were supposed to be on the Disney Magic tomorrow but i had to cancel when i got laid off last year. i am drowning my sorrow by officially joining this thread.

I have no clue where we will stay, how long we will go, where we will eat, etc. I need to get on that, only 10 months away!!

February it is!!
Last year we went in December and had a wonderful time. However, it was too early in the winter. With the AWFUL weather this year I don't think we had even been back a month before I was dying to escape the cold again. So I've picked February as it's a good halfway through winter point and just long enough after Christmas that we'll be bored and wanting something to look forward to.

The tentative dates are January 31st to February 9th. I know for sure we will be doing 2 or 3 nights at Universal. That's about all I have planned so far.

My best friend and I have booked for 18th - 28th Feb 2015 Staying off site in the Courtyard by Marriott, and it will be our second trip to Florida, so dead excited!!

I'm in!! Doing the Princess Half Marathon and 10K, so we will be there the 19th-23rd. Going without the kids this time, so I am really excited!

i hate how Disney doesn't put out the following year until summer. I feel like I can't "officially" plan anything until I'm booked.

So I was originally thinking a Deluxe and I went over and over all the resorts, pros/cons, etc. etc., and decided on the Poly. Then, I found out the pool will be closed in Feb. so that's not acceptable. And now I think I will just save $$ and do a mod. So I'm thinking Coronado. Maybe one of the business rooms so we can take advantage of the snacks and drinks. I've already stayed at CBR so that's out (want to stay at every resort before repeating) and we know POFQ is usually excluded from discounts, so it will be either CSR or POR.
I just wish we could book already!!!!!!!!!

Welcome everyone Glad you are here!! Has anyone here been in February? I haven't so I am interested in weather. Curious if it is warm enough to swim and things?

I went February, 2011. It was definitely warm enough to swim that year. Even *I* got in the pool and I'm not one to get in unless it's at least 80. But I know that there's always a chance of a cold front in February where it could be pretty cool so........it's a crap shoot really. But, after sweating my butt off the past 2 Aprils, I'm willing to risk it. I'd rather be a little cool than sweltering.

We are booked for a 1 bedroom villa - savannah view at AKL Jambo for 1/31 - 2/7. Definitely would like to see a 30 or 35% discount on that room - ouch!

Oh poop, i just looked all the various crowd calendars for our week (our school feb. Vacation) and it looks ATROCIOUS! Like an 11 on a scale of 1-10. I had checked touring plans which has it more like a 7-8 overall with some parks at a 5 so i wasnt expecting so much worse than that.
DH is a teacher so we're limited to school vacations. I really didnt want to wait til april vacation (2 extra months - UGh), but i dont know if i can bring myself to go during those crowds when the april week looks to be 2-3s.

We are tentatively booked for 2/14 to 2/21 at Saratoga. Hoping to get into BEach Club villas at our 7 month window. We have gone every school vacation week since 2006. The crowds aren't that bad. We were just there this past Feb and while President's Day is crowded it does thin out as the week progresses. We also usually leave before the marathon crowds get there, but we wanted to stay longer in 2015.

We booked Saratoga. It will probably be crowded, but with FP+ I know that I can get the rides and shows that we really want. Splash Mountain will be down like it usually is. We aren't big thrill ride people so those rides aren't important for us to go on. Loved the convenience of BC to EPCOT and HS. When we stayed at BC we did Stormalong twice; we preferred the pool over at the villas.

Last Sunday booked two weeks at All Stars Music 4th feb to the 18th.
Only realizing afterwards that Mardi Gra's and Presidents day are pretty much the same time this year. Hoping with the FP+ to get everything we really want to do done in the first week or so and then take the other half by ear.
Nervous for the crowds really. My friend left me to it to book it all and I really thought I had picked a good time. I've done January before and loved how empty the parks where but picked Feb hoping the weather might be a little warmer if lucky.
