I am really, really hoping I'll be in for the Goofy! If not, then at least the full. I just started running about a year ago and am hooked. Completed my first half (the Tink) last month and will be doing the Princess as well. I live in Charlotte, NC and am planning to do our local Race Fest half in April, Rocktober half in October and Thunder Road full in November along with a bunch of 5 and 10K's. Plus the Dumbo Double Dare and ToT!

I am following the Galloway training plan.

Off-topic, but I got to visit Charlotte last May, and absolutely LOVED it there! The people, downtown area, restaurants - I loved everything about it! :)

I hope you are feeling better!! The good news is we have 11 months so you can totally be ready for Goofy!! Yes 88 is a good start. I would love to figure out a meet or a picture atleast. We went to the after party last year so maybe we could meet up there?

So excited--DH and I are going to run Wine and Dine as well as the January Half!! Double the fun!!

We're running the Wine and Dine as our 15th Anniversary treat to ourselves. A weekend away sounds awesome!

So excited. I made our reservations at CSR yesterday. :cool1:
We’re making this a family vacation as well as running the races. I told DH now that I’ve spent money, and Disney has announced when registration will open… it’s beginning to feel very real. :goodvibes

Registration starts on my birthday! What a way to celebrate by registering for the Goofy. Speaking of which I managed to get back on the running horse today. Took off the past few weeks after the half bc my ankle had been a bit sore afterword and I had gotten the flu going around. But I felt great today. Yay!

For some reason, runDisney leaves the previous years race info on the website until they are ready to add the next years info. IMO they should delete the old info and just post "coming soon" for next years to avoid the constant confusion it causes.

Yay! FYI: Last year I registered for Goofy on April 3 using the Disney Visa link. So I imagine this year we will have an earlier date again for that.

It would be fun to plan a meet for those on this thread! :)

Count me in too. I'll be turning 40 at the time and can't think of a better mid-life crisis! I'll be running the 5K with DW, DD, and two good friends and then on to my first Goofy!

I already booked AKV at Jambo House and can't wait!

Please take my name off the first page. :( I decided to do the Space Coast in December and no way I can do back to back Florida trips.

I am 99% sure I am in. We have gone to marathon weekend every year since 2007 and various other disney races. We where going to take a year off since Goofy 10th Ann is in 2015 so Goofy is a for sure in 2015 but can't stand the thought of not going back in 2014 but not sure what race I am in for yet. Either the full or half. Did Goofy in 2010 and Dopey in 2013 so thinking just going for fun this time and sticking with the half but would love to do the marathon....decisions decisions..

Made our reservations at BLT... we are going Jan 9-11, then getting on the Fantasy after the half. Do you think we'll have enough time?

You should have plenty of time depending on how fast you run. Race starts at 5:30 with Corral A. I was in C and stopped at every character picture stop and took it easy and was done by 8:00. Got back to BLT by 8:30 and in the tub shortly after. We were at the parks by 9:30.

It only takes an hour to get to the ship. If you are taking the ME, you should look at a pickup after 10am or so. Unless your Port Arrival time is later, then schedule around that. Enjoy your cruise. We love the Fantasy.

    I'm in!!!! :cool1:

I just booked OKW for Jan. 8 - Jan. 12.

This will be my first FULL marathon. I've run three halfs before.

If all goes well, my wife will run the half, which will be her return to distance running after knee surgery a couple of years ago. Before the surgery, she had run one full and several halfs.

Plus, I'm hoping that my kids will run in some of the kids' runs! All this and I hope to hit theme parks. Can't wait!

Add me to the list - I'm in! Did my first half this year at Tinkerbell - it was awesome! WDW 2014 here I come :) pixiedust: Going to the do the Half and hopefully my big sis will be joining me. (Her pace is faster than me so I have a lot of work to do in the next 11 months!) Then DH and I plan to do the 5k together. Just made our ressies at Saratoga Springs. Hoping to move over to Boardwalk when we hit the DVC 7 month mark. Yay :)
