Off-DLR shopping?

We're there for 4 1/2 days (give or take) and I was hoping to hit a grocery store for wine or beer and a couple odds and ends. What's the closest store for that? Is it within walking distance or will we need a cab? I don't know how much time we'll actually HAVE for that, but perhaps during one of our down-times at the PPH one of us can run out to the store and grab some stuff.

I don't know if I need $49 worth right off the bat, plus I was checking out their offerings and what I was hoping to find wasn't online.

There is a Food Maxx on Katella (but it's probably a mile or more from PPH). You just go out the hotel turn left and then left onto Katella and it will be on the right. A cab might be the easiest and you could have them wait while you run in!

My vote is for Target. I believe the closest to PPH is down on South Harbor Blvd. Too far to walk, however a cab would not be costly. Or there is ART. Can also take OCTA. Target also sells Disney merchandise. And they have a fairly good grocery selection. And a cafe. I love Target! Might find some things too, of interest, next door to Target at the .99 store.

There is a Target that is on Harbor Boulevard. I don't know about walking to it though. There's also a Walmart farther down in Garden Grove and we went to a Von's that was close by but we rented a car.

How are you getting to PPH? People who have used DK Livery say that they include a grocery stop between the airport and hotel.

Just do the Vons delivery! You'll be amazed at how great it is to have healthy snacks to bring int he park and waters, etc. Just go look at it and do a practice order and you'll see. (I LOVE Von's delivery. I use it at home too)
