I thought this was going to be a difficult question but I got more right answers very quickly than any other question so far!

This was Terk from Tarzan. Take the z out of Tarzan and you get Taran from the Black Couldron.

SusanEllen gets a bonus point for her trivia that Black Cauldron was on the drawing board when Michael Eisner took over the reigns at Disney; that he hated it and tried to kill the project. That he finally allowed the film to be finished but did it as quickly and cheaply as possible and that's why there's no music in it like every other great Disney animation classic.

Bless you, Mikki. I needed an extra point having totally bombed on an earlier question and getting 0 points that day. Not always good at puzzles, I was relieved that I could figure my way through this one.

For those who care to know: My information about Eisner and The Black Cauldron first came from my dear Scott. He liked the movie, had read what he could find about it and had collected a couple of pieces of art, a cell and statue of Creeper. I've also read in more than one source about the difficulties getting The Black Cauldron made--it was in production for nearly ten years. Eisner, in his autobiography Work in Progress, pp. 172-3, spoke in terms of his luke-warm feelings toward the film when he first saw it on the drawing board just a month after he joined the Company. Somewhere else I read that Eisner's reaction to the film was far stronger than that and his compromise to Roy E. Disney and the Animation Dept. was to allow the movie to be finished but to cut music from the budget.
