I know the 1BR DVC suites in Jambo have a washer/dryer but do the 1BR CL suites in Jambo (non DVC) have a washer/dryer too?
Getting close to our 60 day mark. Should we do the online check in at 60? Why/why not?
I doubt it. I believe all the non-DVC suites (in all the WDW resorts) were made for luxury and not the thought that guests would be cooking, cleaning or doing laundry on their vacations.
DVC villas are a whole other animal!
I would (if you're not Club Level). At least this way if you have issues with the online check-in, you have plenty of time to get it straightened out! I choose online for non-Club Level stays because it truly does save time at check-in. Plus, they know when I plan to arrive (usually WAY before 3pm) and my room is often ready!
When I can get my credit card information entered on the website during online check-in, I don't need to physically hand the CM my credit card at the front desk. (Unfortunately, the new website hasn't let me enter my CC info )
....ooooooh, good idea!.......
Wow... This thread has some pretty good traffic. Thanks for putting this info together Kimmar.
Our first time staying at AKL was in 2007. Thats when we bought into DVC and called the AKL our home away from home... We joke that we now own a small tile in that hotel.
We will be going back to AKL but to Kidani for the first time through DVC from Nov 6th through the 15th. 217 days to go and counting....
Random question - first time in a DVC studio. Do they have the highchair and PNP in the closet like they do in the 1br and 2br? Trying to figure out what to pack and what I can (joyfully) leave home!
Can't believe I can see my weather within the 10 day forecast now! Woohooo!
Thanks guys! I'm looking forward to bringing some Disney movies with me now!
We just booked a week stay at Kidani for my daughters birthday, September 25-October 2. It is a birthday surprise
We stayed here last October for a short stay after our cruise and we are looking forward to longer stay this time.
Does anyone have a recent activity sheet from AKL? The most recent one I've found online is from Sept. 2011!
This is the March 2013 one.
You have been added to the list and congrats on your DVC and upcoming stay

....WDW really screwed up - I got my M.E. package in the mail yesterday and it was for the luggage tags for AKL arriving on the 7th, along with the M.E. vouchers....trouble is, I'm arriving on the 5th, and our destination is ASMu!, so we'll already BE at WDW by the 7th!!
The AsMu ones will be in a separate package - at least that is how it has always worked for us when we do split stays...?
.....uhhhhhh, why does YOUR ticker say "Three Days Till...." ??
Thank You This helps with my future planning.
My kids have loved the medallion rubbing (can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as they want to color) and the cookie decorating. They also like to walk in the primal parade while we watch and enjoy a glass of wine in the lobby.
I have never noticed the wine tasting before but I'll have to add that to our to do list.
