November Exercise Challenge--Getting Fit For the Holidays!

    Thank you to Ted and Cam for hosting! I hosted last year a couple of times and found it to be a great motivator, so I am happy to be able to take a month, especially since I have been struggling with motivation for marathon training.:goodvibes

    The challenge is on. And it's a challenge by you to you! Challenge yourself to do "x" number of minutes of exercise this month and then Get Moving!

    Post as frequently as you like and I will update the list throughout the month. Please tell me how many minutes you have completed along with your goal for the challenge. For example "I did 60 minutes on the treadmill yesterday, and am now at 60/1200".

    As you reach milestones for the month, your name and total will change color in this post.
    At 10%, you'll be bright pink
    When you reach 25%, you'll be orange
    When you reach 50%, you'll be purple
    When you reach 75%, you'll be turquoise
    At 90%, you'll be red (because you are on fire!)
    When you hit 100%, you'll be WISH green!

    Count me in for 1600 minutes again... I'm backing off on my mileage a little this month because I have my second HM on the 18th and will be recovering for a week or 10 days after that, so I'll just have to increase my cross training to make up the time.

    Hello again!
    I'm going to try to get 1500 minutes this month. I didn't get near my goal last month, and I've got a wedding, three busy weekends, Thanksgiving, NaNoWriMo... a lot of stuff this month.

    I am hoping to be disciplined with my training for the WDW 1/2 marathon and am looking forward to many long walks at Hilton Head over Thanksgiving. My goal is 1800 minutes. :)

    I'm in again but for less. We've had a tough couple of weeks - my crazy accident after my race and my mother-in-law is now terminally ill with very little time left. It has been very sudden - literally she was diagnosed less than two weeks ago and now we're being told she has days left.

    Still, I know I need to keep up the exercise so I'll go for 2700.

    Today: good 6 mile run (first since my accident): 75 minutes
    Post run walk: 10 minutes

    Total for today: 85 minutes
    85/2700

    I'm in! I'll try again with 700 minutes for the month. I fell short last month with a vacation in the the middle of the month, so hopefully this month will be better.

    Thank you to Ted, Cam and Rose who have hosted this challenge the past few months and now this month since I've been participating!

    I'm in again. I'll aim for 600 this month. I got derailed by illness in October. It's really hard to exercise when you can't breathe. I'm hoping to get rid of the cough and get back into exercise.

    I'm in for 1700 again. Like others, I was derailed by illness in October, but have my fingers crossed and tennies laced for November!

    Welcome to everyone, especially the new folks. I have been doing these challenges on and off for almost two years and I really do find it a huge motivator. It's great to be cheered on in my efforts and to root for everyone else as well. :)

    MB--I am very sorry to hear about your MIL. I will keep your family in my thoughts. Hang in there.
