Not shopping on BF? What are you doing?

Christmas Decorating! Our family has the whole weekend Fri - Sun, which is a special treat - usually DH is working one or two of those days.

I don't shop on BF any more after having bad times!

The last time was 4 years ago and I had people steal out of my cart when I turned my back to get an item, and it didn't just happen once!

Also I found items not in stock at several stores so all the fuss and running around was for nothing.

I shop a lot on line now.

Friday we will go get our tree and come home to left-overs.

I absolutely will not go in-store shopping on Black Friday. In my experience, the good deals will get repeated later on in the season, and I can't fathom getting up at 4 am for a $5 gift card, or a free tote bag.

We will be possibly going to our town's Santa Parade, and we will for sure be setting up the Christmas tree and decorating. Same as every year. I may try to do some online shopping, haven't decided that yet.

Yeah, I really don't do BF. I don't like the way it makes me feel about Christmas and people. Grabby Grabby ME ME ME. Yick -- and splat goes the holiday spirit. So I will be steering faaaar far from the stores. Probably helping DH to finish his paper so he can get to putting up the outdoor Christmas lights

And since we're just up the road from the outlet malls which start BF at midnight, we will be steering clear from the freeway Thursday night as well (well that and a sad number of drunk drivers on that stretch of I-35). They start moving towards that area fairly early. So Thanksgiving night we'll be hunkering in and I'll put up inside decorations. I already put up the tree and its lights since that's the "no fun" part (and I have the scratches to prove it!) So T-night I just get to decorate..funfunfun

I'll be doing the same thing I do every day! No plans here. DH likes to go out on BF, but I try to avoid it at all costs.

I do like BF but unfortunately this year I am done. I don't have anything else to buy, no soccer tournaments or anything. For the first time in over 18 years I will hopefully sleep in!
I will be baby sitting my sisters little ones. She works nights and instead of picking them up at 6:30am she will be going out while we stay home. So I will probably get a start on Christmas cookies (the kids can help).

We're flying out Thanksgiving day to spend 4 days in Laughlin Nevada (gambling resort town on the Colorado River just up from where Cali. AZ, and NV borders meet)

I thought about renting a car to go do some shopping but honestly, that negates any savings and I haven't seen anything I can't live without. So I'll be in the spa or the casino, or maybe on the river don't know yet. There is a small outlet mall just down the road I will probably go there since there is a store I like, but I may wait till Saturday.

I am babysitting my grandson so my DD doesn't have to take the day off. I won't be able to get up at 5:00am and still keep up with him for the day.

I'll be working - not in a retail madhouse, thank goodness. They give us a free dress down day in our office to work BF, and since I wouldn't be out shopping anyway - that's a bonus.

I will be working so that Juliegirl1 can fly in and go to Disney World. I work at Orlando International Airport!

I will be going to Disney for 10 days. I wonder if they have BF shopping?

we will be driving home from our son's house in NJ after spending Thanksgiving with some of our children there.

I am finished shopping...my tree is up and the house mostly decorated...and you have been able to hear Christmas music at our place for almost a month.

NO amount of savings...even FREE...is enough to get me out into the madness.

Actually I think they kids and I will go to the movies. I never shop on BF. I hate it. We do occasionally go to the mall though. We grab a hot cocoa/tea listen to the holiday music and people watch. It's quite entertaining.

Dh is watching the kids and I'm going to Atlantic City with my Aunt, and possibly my Mom,if she makes it. Haven't been in almost a year so it's time again to make my deposit.

I'm not shopping either - We'll be spending the night at deer camp, way out in the boonies where it's black dark when the sun goes down.....

I miss it, but ever since I had kids, haven't been able to keep dh out of the woods long enough to BF shop.

Taking the family to see A Christmas Carol, then lunch at Portillo's. Will then go home and do outside/inside Christmas decorating. Probably watch a Christmas movie at night.
